Really? According to the Compubox, Taylor land (2) more punches than Pavlik. In round 2, Talyor landed 25 more punches than Pavlik. That means every other round Pavlik landed more and harder punches. That statement should not have allowed on a "boxing site".

Yeah great response that mate. Tell me do you think Pavlik is as fast as JC? As skillful? Does he have as good a chin? How exactly does a slow, come forward pressure fighter beat Calzaghe?

So you had Pavlik up in the fight coming into round 7 did you? Thought not, he was losing, so outboxed.

    Rd 1 = 10-9, Pavlik
    Rd 2 = 10-8, Taylor
    Rd 3 = 10-9, Pavlik
    Rd 4 = 10-9, Pavlik
    Rd 5 = 10-9, Taylor
    Rd 6 = 10-9, Pavlik
    Rd 7 = KTFO

57 - 56 Pavlik!!! So no, JT was not out boxing him!!!

    Agree.

I am not still very convinced on Pavlik. He is a good fighter but not sure if he is elite. Based on his showing against Miranda and Taylor, I do not give him a good chance at beating Calzaghe. Matter of fact, I think his style is tailored for Calzaghe.

You have just taken over from Paul Davis as the official ESB undiputed idiot. Calzaghe fan my arse. Boxing fan my arse.

if Kessler couldn't KO Calzaghe, i seriously doubt Pavlik would...but styles make fights and i could see Pavlik making Calzaghe more nervous than he was was against Kessler...

I'd take Pavlik by late tko:good

His right hand power is far better than Kessler's and its evident in KO ratio and physical reaction of opposition when hit:yep

Now, there is a likelyhood of Calzaghe out boxing Kelly as well. Joe has the experience and multi dimensional game that is making him a REAL LEGEND. Several more fights against legacy enhancing foes could take him places in the AT perspective.

I think Pavlik and his team should worry about his upcoming fight with Taylor.

Okay, does anyone really think that this fight will even happen? I think Pavlik isn't really interested in moving up a weight class. He is still a young fighter with a lot of fights still in him and I think he will make a good champion. However anything is possible, Joe is just a human being very capable of making mistakes, as is Pavlik.

    Prediction:A very good fight!
