"Pavlik is staying at Middleweight and that's the bottom line. No more Super Middleweights, forget chasing this frickin money. He's a legitimate Middleweight. Bernard Hopkins was big in there, we're usually the dominant person in there - I'm making the decision; we're going back to Middleweight, and we're staying there."

    Jack Loew, October 2008

Good luck being the dominant person in the ring against King Arthur.

He should not be making any decision.

Pavlik needs to make the decision to fire Jack's dumb ass.

He'd be better off with Jack Bauer as a trainer.

This may be the smartest thing Loew has ever said, certainly much better than his advice in the corner last night.

I like Loew and Kelly's crew, but they weren't doing him any favors leading up to the fight (their chirping) or during it, either.

Well he may not like it but I seriously think in a few fights Pavlik will not be able to make that weight no more if he can more power to him.

Maybe Haye will think Pavlik's a third Klitschko and Kelly could make around 10 Mil to fight The Matrix at HW?

Not that I can think of offhand. Both of those fights could be great, especially the Abraham one. Like Hopkins said after the fight, go dominate at MW.

Pavlik can go up, but he needs to grow into it, not just put on some fat and water.

Therefore he will need like a year or more with tune-ups at SMW where he gets used to the size and more importantly buils muscle that support his speed instead of get in the way of it.

He can go up - of ocurse he can... .It just has to be managed.

no, no, no. does loew think that the weight alone was to blame for kelly's performance? kelly could pretty much lose back at 160 since he just got exposed. if anything after watching this, winky might want a crack at him. going back to 160 is a no brainer, but kelly has to man up and tell jack, "thanks for the help, i paid u well" but kelly seriously has to learn from his loss in order to get to that other level. he has power and heart, but emmanuel steward has experience with tall rangy fighters like tommy hearns and lennox lewis and got them to their true potential. i'm sure he can do the same for kelly pavlick

Says the man who also said before the Hopkins fight: "We're not dumb enough to go straight at Hopkins with only 1-2 combos". :-(

Why should anyone trust what he says, especially Kelly?

I agree though, Pavlik has to stay at 160. And fire Loew.

He just admitted Pavlik is overly reliant on big physical advantages over his opponents at middleweight. Basically, what we already knew, but its good to hear it from the donkeys mouth.
