kelly is going to need another voice in the corner ..If Loew thinks that they can always out msucle their oppoenets there in for another shock once they get in there with a middle who will not be intimidated or physically beat up by Kelly's size .

That would probably be a good idea lol. I think it's possible that Pavlik could very well be the best 3rd middleweight right now. Abraham would be a very good challenge and so would Winky Wright. Hopefully we get to see at least one of those fights.

Yep, I'd love to see a Pavlik vs Abraham fight, that would be very interesting.

They were doomed from the start when they announced that to the world ! Only the Pavlik faithful bought into that crap !

I wonder if Ezno Calzaghe called him he picked Hopkins by UD as well !

Kelly's a good kid, but they need more experiance and less machismo in the corner.
now that he's gotten payed maybe pavlik will settle down and think about his next strategic move.

    3 things...

    1. Pavlik would've gotten dominated if the fight was at 160 vs hopkins...hopkins was the faster man (even though he was naturally bigger); this weight thing is a bull**** excuse.

    2. Pavlik won't be able to stay at 160 for long (IMO)

    3. Jack Loew should be replaced with a trainer who doesn't talk about having "plan a,b,c,d", but rather knows what the **** hes doing.

Running with his tail between his legs. Just like Hatton when he moved back down to 140.

I really don't understand why the **** he said all that bull**** prior to the fight.

It made him look like an ******* and not only that, his fighter got embarassed.

He's got to apologize to Kelly. And Kelly has to accept his apologies and then fire him.

    **** Loew.

Before this fight there was a thread about Pavlik fighting Dawson. I remarked that if Pavlik could beat elite LHWs he wouldn't be starving himself to fight in a subpar MW division. To me, the fact that he fights he starves himself to fight in a subpar division is a clear sign that he would have trouble competing at higher weights. One poster called me a dumbass for suggesting this. Well, it looks like Team Pavlik has admitted that Pavlik can't compete at this time at higher weight classes.

I think Kelly was just over confident and didn't train in a hungry fashion anymore after all the successes he's had lately. I bet he rolled in to the little gym late and sparred with the same old local guys as ever.

During the 24/7 show I noticed a change in him. He had a certain kind of smug/arrogance type of confidence that isn't condusive to winning.
    Maybe success is changing him.

This is possible. However, Kelly wasn't tired. He could've fought 15 rounds last night. He just wasn't able to hit Bernard.
