Loew: "We're Going Back To 160, And We're Going To Stay There"

Loew was this genuine guy before the fight. Underrated, and doing many thing for the inner city kids, and now he is a shitty trainer lol. That is a damn shame. There wasn't a thing he could've told PAv that would be effective against Hop. He didn't have the style or physical ability to not only hurt Hop, he could not even hit him. He fought guys that stood in front of him. He did not adjust. You can tell a man round after round what to do, but it is up to the fighter. Loew told him the truth, nothing more.

I have to admit, after the Calzaghe fight, I thought Hopkins was on the downside. Saturday night, he looked like a different fighter. I'm a huge Pavlik fan, but he was in over his head Saturday night. I hope he gets back in the gym right away, gets back down to middle and fights twice before getting in the ring with AA or Wright. Props to Hopkins, though. I honestly can't wait to see him fight again. And I never thought I would say that.

 

Yeah, keep changing trainers every time you lose lol. If he loses Abraham, what's he going to do...R.I.P, dig up Eddie Futch or Ray Arcel?

 

He had one inch reach on Taylor, one inch. So in reality, half an inch.

He had an inch and half reach disadvantage against Miranda

He lost to Hopkins, and everybody is losing their mind saying he is a big MW with no skills, its absurd.

He doesn't need a reach advantage, he doesn't need a size advantage; he needs to stay in one weightclass and stick to what got him where he is.

God I hate all the overreaction after fights on here.

Even after people chastise others for their post fight behavior, it still exists every fight. This board and too many posters immaturity or vast simplification of fights or situations sickens me. It's like you have to be a smug ******* who knows it all to post here.

 

You mean even during camp training?
Then why the hell did he agree to the fight if he knew all along that his fighter would be embarassed??? Just for the money?
If this is true (that he couldn't have told him/taught him anything effective for this fight and that he agreed for the fight only for the payday), that would make him an even bigger *******.

 

What's even funnier is that he jumped up in weight and fought Bernard Hopkins in his first fight at his new weight. To parallel another fighter going through this right now, he didn't fight Monte Barrett. MW is where he belongs, for now, and maybe for his entire career.

 

I'm talking about in the corner and during the fight.atsch Good God...

 

Hop did the same thing when he fought Tarver I think.

Fair enough then, but personally I'm not bashing him for his corner work.
I'm dissing him for the bull**** talk he made before the fight, and the fact that his "plans b, c and d" vs Hop was nothing but lies, as the fight pretty much proved.
