Nothing to thank McGrain, compliment to you and your thread, we need such threads about so underrated and great fighters (Loi, Burley, Jackson, etc.) to show where they should really rank... :thumbsup

B(_)LL has footage of his fight with Famechon. The poster ACB has seen it, not enough of it to truly confirm though, as it's only a short highlight.

From what I understand of the man, he'd seem to be a stylistic problem for anyone between 135 and 140.

I can give as descriptive analysis as possible for the 2:40 clip that I have seen against Famechon. Its difficult to extract much to be honest but this is what I see:

First, Loi is not fighting in the southpaw stance, for reasons unknown to me but that perhaps Raging B(_)ll could expand upon. Physically, he looks to be a very strong fighter, broad back and shoulders and tree trunks for thighs. In this particular clip he is giving a little bit of height to Famechon but edging him in the strength category.

As we all know he is a preasure fighter, coming forward in behind a good jab with his forhead tucked between his shoulders (a little Lamotta-esque but with some more subtle stuff IMO). He seems to prefer being on the inside where he combines his strength, low center of gravity, and very good head movement (in particular he is adept at getting under Famechon's hooks, ducking very low at some points). Finally he is good on the inside as a whole, sometimes clinching, sometimes counterpunching, but fluid in there and very smooth actually.
