What's the most they pay their fighters? The most they can pay is a couple million whenever one of them fights Mayweather. How much will Ortiz be getting for a Berto rematch? Probably about half what Berto is getting I bet, or even less. And Canelo, has he even gotten a 1 million dollar payday? The guy sells out stadiums and set records for HBO viewers. Wake up.

Ortiz made more than he ever has or would have without GBP. Erik Morales has gotten a second chance at making money...Saul Alvarez is being groomed for Stardom and at 21 has fought Cotto, Cintron, has a strap, and is hella popular.

They kicked Mosley out and sent him a cheque for a measely one thousand dollars for all his years of service and stake in their company. Richard Schaefer said rather vulgarly, "Mosley could go **** himself", on the scene. And this after Mosley stated he would easliy pass off some of his purse to Golden Boy as if they were his promoter for the fight.

As for Marquez, he had an option to get out, and GBP refused to let him exercise it, trying to match him with the much bigger Canelo. TR had to offer a weight Canelo could never get down so Marquez could be released from Golden Boy's clutchs and get his payday.

Golden Boy is no fighter's union. It's a promotional company, making money first and foremost in their thinking. You're worse than the BobTard's, as you call them, if you believe otherwise.

GBP made the offer to Marquez to fight Canelo so that Arum would pay him a 5 million dollar minimum. And if Arum declined atleast Marquez had options to become a multi millionaire.

GBP resurrected Mosley's career, and Mosley knows this.

 

Mosley wanted to become a free agent, and Golden Boy's efforts to keep Marquez meant he was able to get the Pacquiao fight on more advantageous terms. They're obviousy no different from any other promoter, but the two examples you've come up with of their evilness or whatever are **** porr.

If Khan trained for inside fighting and fighting off the ropes this wouldn't have happened. I think Khan had no clue what he was in until he was in it.

 

These guys had options to leave and pursue fights on their own. Marquez though a clause in his contract, and Mosley through just being connected to GBP as a stakeholder and no real promotional deal with them. If they were breaking their contracts to leave, GBP would've sued to stop them fighting Pac, and Schaefer many times mentioned this on bscene. Golden Boy made it as difficult as they could for both guys, trying to make a fight Marquez did not want, and kicking Mosley out with a $1000 check even with him saying he'd pay them a promoter %. Both fighters left on bad terms, when it could've been amicable and they could still be partners today.

 

Donaire was sued because he broke a contract, those guys didn't.

And Oscar simply used Mosley to fight the high risk/low reward fights around their weights, so he could chase just the money fights. That's the truth. When Mosley wanted the fight with Pac, these guys tried to push Marquez ahead of him, when Shane was in Pac's division and Marquez a lightweight. When Marquez later had to leave to get the Pac fight, they suddenly didn't want Marquez to face Pac.

 

Golden Boy had a contractual right to match any offer Marquez received and ultimately facilitated his getting a fight on more even terms. Mosley left in a huff because the company dared to argue that Marquez was more deserving of a Pacquiao fight than the guy who had looked like **** in his past two fights. Again, these are pretty poor examples of whatever point you're trying to make about how evil the company is.

And no, they weren't against Marquez getting a Pacquiao fight; they were against Marquez leaving to get a Pacquiao fight.
