There just isn't much to say. Dawson is in his prime. Johnson is shot. It wasn't competitive...almost the opposite of their first encounter.

 

Dawson won tonight. Beat Johnson convincingly from what I heard.

 

What was the outcome? Did anyone watch the fight??

More than convincingly. It's one of those fights where the fans - if not the pro judges - are nearly unanimous in their scorecards. Either a shutout for Chad or (like myself, Lederman, and a couple of others) a single pity round for Glen. And everybody gave him the same pity round (the 6th, which was the closest). Very easy (and tedious) to score.

Chad needs to stop fighting and rematching old guys. Johnson needs to retire.

 

Johnson looked incredibly slow (hands and feet). Dawson put on a clinic (mostly defensive, though he showed some flashy combination punching later on).

the judges muffed the score 115-113x2 and a 117-111. I didnt give Johnson one rd. Chad boxed beautifully and made Johnson look, old slow and lacking power.

Chad looked fabulous and no one at LHW can even touch him. His skills are so good that he wont be challenged in a long time. tonight was nearly a virtuoso performance. I dont see anyone at LHW touching him.

 

Took me all of one. May have been his first, actually. He's racked up quite the post count in the week since then. Shall we place bets on how long the mods let him hang around? :think

As expected I suppose. Johnson could only go on for so long and it was never going to be a carbon copy of the first. I'd like to see Dawson in with a big name who will really test him now. He is a great talent.

It's funny - Dawson looked much better in both his rematches, but it's unclear whether it's because he made tactical adjustments or trained harder, or because age and wear caught up to his rivals in between. :think
