Ridiculous. Awful, awful, awful. I was pulling hard for the old man. Gave him one round, and it was out of pity.

I worry about that sort of judging because it can go unnoticed as long as the right man gets the verdict.

Lederman had it 118-110 Anyone scoring more than 3 rds for Johnson were obviously scoring missed shots. johnson did throw a lot but landed infrequently. Its hard to see those clear misses ringside. And IMO it seems judges dont score defense much these days, which is a crying shame. All the hard shots were landed by dawson.

    Good call, let's take note:

    Michael Pernick (115-113)

Never hoid of da bum. :think

One seasoned vet (Glenn Feldman) was bang-on with 117-111 (so he gave three pity rounds...though beyond the 6th it's hard to see which were even remote candidates).

Duane Ford, though? Et tu, Duane? :-( 115-113?

****! He also scored Katsidis-Escobedo 115-113! (not as bad as Mike Fitzgerald scoring it 112-116 for Escobedo, but still way off from Robert Hoyle's accurate 118-110 for Mike)

AND HE'S ON THE PANEL FOR COTTO VS. PACQUIAO!!

    SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!

    Awww hell no! :scaredas:

That is a fight that I see going to the cards as well. He'll probably come up with some random score like 119 -108.5 for Roach.

Holy sh*t? What a joke. That fight was like 118-110. Total blowout, and I wanted Johnson to do well. Wow, those judges suck.

The shameful thing is, one of them is Duane Ford. He's clearly going senile after thirty years in the game. :verysad

He gave Johnson more rounds in his rematch with Dawson than he gave Tarver in his rematch with Dawson! :patsch (he had that one 117-110 for Chad)

Here's the four fights ranked from closest to least competitive:

    Dawson-Johnson I
    Dawson-Tarver I
    Dawson-Tarver II
    Dawson-Johnson II

I don't know if Johnson was really shot, man. I think it may have just been the young track star wasn't going to let the older pair of legs walk or run him down. Just because he doesn't have the legs of a man in his twenties doesn't mean he's much removed from their previous encounter. But I haven't seen Johnson's fights between the Dawson matches. Maybe he is shot.

And rightfully so. Us fans want to see fights were we are guessing who is going to win, whose style will be more effective. Haye/Valuev was a 50/50 fight. We wanted to see if Haye was really going to attack Valuev like he claimed and prove that he is better than these other heavyweights. With Dawson/Johnson most fans knew Dawson would be too much.

That's all it COULd be said about that fight, and maybe not all of that :yep.... This fight was an embarrassing snoozer.... I'm glad I didn't invited any of my friends who r just casual fans, it would've killed their willingness to come back to see ANY other boxing fight in the future... I should've recorded it so it could help me with my sleeping problems.... seriously, I fell asleep about 2-3 times in between....Way to go , nice style Dawson!! Just what boxing needs!!

i think you'll find that the only posts about harrison are about how he is deluded and a piece of **** who needs to crawl into a hole and die (kind of like you).

oh and in response to the thread. it's because this fight was more intriguing.
