LOL at HBO trying sell us a future Ward/Ramirez fight

    Man ol' man, who else saw Lampley trying to promote
    a Ward and hyped prospect Ramirez contest for the near
    future. I guess Ward has no interest in furthering his watered
    down legacy against real dangermen. He's got 2 monsters
    just north and south of him, and HBO is flirting with the idea
    of matching Ward with some clumsy mexican who can't avoid
    a right hand to save his life. Hmmm, Ward never deserved #2
    p4p status and is not even on my top 10 anymore. Ward looked
    like he was around 190lbs in that segment so moving up to 175
    shouldn't be a problem. Except, that's where KOvalev lives and
    Ward is allergic to russian fighters.:D

    Yeah, Im not exactly seeing the issue here.

    Ramirez is probably a top 10 SMW right now.

    I like it. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like when champs rule their division for awhile and take out the young guns. It shows they didn't just pop up in the right place at the right time. That's a big reason I reward consistency and dominance higher than most.

    I say good for Andre. It's also a good fight to get some much needed momentum going for him.

    It's a comeback/tune up fight against some one who is talented. It's not like he's fighting the equivalent of Salka.

    Ramirez deserves a shot at the lineal title at 168 for
    getting a close win over a guy Chilemba beat? OK.
    Fair enough. Then I never want to hear about GGG
    ducking Ward again. Fair enough?

    Agreed. Ramirez was put on center stage to make an impression. He did not live up to the hype. The Russian actually looked better, even though he lost the fight. Had he had some decent power, Ramirez would have been put to sleep from one of those counter rights.

    Who said next? Also, who at 168 is even left to fight with Ward? Wards problem is his inactivity, if he was fighting 3x a year fighting Ramirez or whomever in top 15 wouldnt be an issue.

    Also... wtf does GGG-Ward have to do with anything? If you are trying to insinuate that I have said GGG is ducking Ward, you obviously have no idea wtf you are talking about.

    ward does need a tune up...but no excuses if he does not take big names or a lesser known name at light heavy after this
