    Williams, removed himself from contention when he got spanked by quintana.

    Margarito and Cotto, were priced out by their greedy promoter Arum.

    Young Mosley never wanted to fight Floyd and even refused in 2006 citing a toothache.:deal

    Thats not true. He was fighter with little name recogntion, little popularity, and as soon as he won the titile, he followed it up by getting schooled in embarrasing fashion to Quintana. That's not what your supposed to do when you're tryan build you name to geta fight with the top dawgs.

    You make it sound like people were hyping Williams up just so that they so that people could accuse Floyd of ducking Williams. I wonder what NeckBreaknAiken would say to this...

    A lot of people are guilty of this. Its a doubledged sword for Floyd.

    If he doesn't fight the guy, he's accused of ducking.
    If he fights the guy, they make up an excuse.

    People will dsicredit Floyd one way or the other.

    It seems *****s are happier that fraud is accused of ducking rather than him fighting and defeating and subsequently making excuses by the opponent.

    Both Cotto and MArgarito ducked Paul Williams.

    Cotto never came close to fighting Williams even though Williams called him out repeatedly.


    Margarito ducked a Williams rematch to fight Shane Mosley. Cherry picking an old guy and got his ass beat.

    People wanted Floyd to fight Williams because he seemed a half decent tall guy, who was a large welter - rather than a chinny, short ex light welterweights.

    It's that simple.

    Apparently Fraud gets more credit not fighting opponents because of he fought them and they turned out to be limited or "exposed", his legacy takes a hit.

    Having Martinez in Fraud's resume is < not having Martinez in his resume.
