Meh,if hes not going to fight Pacquiao, Mayweather or Marquez, then who cares?? This Prodnikov guy is as good as anyone else who's available. Maybe if Pacquiao had fought him instead of fighting the same guy hes already fought 3 times and who is now 39!!!, then maybe we'd be seeing a better fight.
Actually... The Grinch Who Stole Christmas stage show will be in the MSG theater that week. Bradley's next fight will probably be in Florida somewhere. Look at the NY Fight Blog on espn.com/boxing
Provodnikov isn't bad and makes for fun fights but he would get outclassed by Bradley, if it happens. Part of the problem is that GBP has most of the talent at 140-147 and since them and Top Rank don't work together a lot of good opponents are out of the mix. I think Mike Jones is having problems with Top Rank or that would be a nice fight for Bradley but probably doesn't happen. There are some decent match ups at 147 for Bradley that could still be made like Aydin, Zaveck, Porter, Solomon etc but those guys aren't much better known than Provodnikov and could be more risky. Top Rank probably wants to keep Bradley alive for a future possible Pac opponent. It would be great if Rios-Alvarado ended with an early ko so the winner could make a quick(2month) turnaround and face Bradley like DeMarco is looking at with Broner. Ideally Bradley vs Rios/Alvardo would be Pac's opponent next year if a Mayweather fight can't be made.
Not really surprised, that's the way boxing is right now. Pathetic matches being made, with the exception of this weekend's fights. Why is no one willing to fight the best any more? It is ridiculous. Seems to only be the American fighters who are doing this too, it's such a shame.
