At the end of the day if he keeps his wbo rank then fair enough.It's nothing new with the WBO you seen what happened to Jennings and Lockett.Because i'm Scottish i would give him the benefit of the doubt and hope for an upset.Scottish fighters get no crit off me.He's boxed more rounds than Mitchell but Mitchells the bigger puncher.A class performance against Mitchell and you never know, maybe a close decision win.Burns sounds confident so mentally could be cut out for it.Maybe he's a we bit to confident after his last 2 performances and took this fight a bit lightly.Hopefully a better performance in his next fight.

 

I'm not so sure about Mitchell, as TFFP said after his last fight, Mitchell never ceases to amaze with his ability to get drawn into a war against anybody he faces.

 

i dont think #mitchell as all that great and who else has seen martinez fight in any other fight than against Cook

 

A bad nite for Ricky but he WILL beat Mitchell

 

I think Mitchell would beat burns quite convincingly- Mitchell does allow himself to get hit way too much for my liking though. I believe it's only a matter of time until Burns is found out; it will probably happen at European level, IMO. A good domestic fighter but, for me, I don't think he'll ever win a world title.

That is what Burns might have needed tonight...that will kick his arse and ensure that he understands that he cannot allow himself to perform like that in future...

He can beat Mitchell, but not right now IMO... I don't think he would get away with throwing as little leather as he did tonight against Mitchell..

An improved workrate and tighter defence with much more movement from the waist and feet.....

burns got the tools to beat km,good footwork decent hand speed,uses the ring well...but km got the power to iron burns out though..50/50 fight .

 

Steven Foster would have been a good fight and test for ricky. Hopefully they can get it on again.

 

I agree... but not right now. Joahannsen put it to KM and he was a whisker form been pulled out... if Burns can get on top of KM and not give him the room to get his shots off he will come through...:good

 

whoever thinks burns can beat mitchell is a comedian whilst mitchell loves a scrap burns just doesnt have enough power to use this as an advantage or to trouble him in anyway just because mitchells been a little inactive in past year doesnt mean he isnt dangerous
