Secondly, although you can keep fit, do all sorts of technical work while in limbo, it's no doubt going to be harder to organise the proper sparring when you can't properly commit to a camp due to Diva's dodgy antics. You need to book people, they have lives/careers too. So Canelo does get advantages from this, which is always the way. Once he lines up all his advantages, it's incredible how much he has in his favour and is still defended by ''sports fans''.
the problem with being new to the sport, cause you were brought in by a fighter, is that you have no sense of history. of the hundreds of fighters that have won epic fights with a couple weeks notice, a month in between title fights, last minute step ins, etc... and knowing what actually takes place in a training camp, how you determine what you will be working on, whether its weight control, physical strengthening, sharpening of timing, etc... depending how far along you already come in to camp. ive read that 6 weeks is not enough time, yet no explanation why that is, in this particular case.

Yes, I was once a very young casual that only knew of and watched Tyson and De La Hoya and Pacquiao's kinetic energy and exciting style brought me in full time. How is this some kind of diss? No need to be elitist.
