This......If Canelo has the freedom and opportunity to train and remain in shape then so does his opponent. Stop reaching. My favorite middleweight remains GGG but Canelo is a bad mfer, no doubt about it.

 

The best/most elite fighters tend to be gym rats, they stay ready
The best/most elite fighters pay attention to the top guys in striking distance, they stay ready
The best/most elite fighters have gameplans for the top guys, they stay ready
The best/most elite fighters are constantly preparing for different styles, they stay ready

Short notice is really not as much of an issue as some claim for an elite fighter that stays ready.

 

They both have 3 weeks to prepare.

 

Look what you guys don't understand is that Canelo has all the cards. Canelo can choose his opponent weeks before hand leave guys in limbo thinking they may get the fight. Canelo can then train specifically for the guy he's chosen weeks beforehand being fairly confident the other guy won't pull out. This is all the while the other guy has no idea what's happening and may not be able to afford a training camp..

I'm not saying this is what is happening.. But knowing Canelo I would not be surpised how can anyone trust that cheating fraud

Let me translate this:
Canelo will cheat all the way till the battle. And when his a** get kicked, he will still get the decision in his favor, thanks to the corrupt judges, organizations and so, cause he is the cash cow and they are paid big !!!

 

He would have to pay his team for something that might not happen. That kind of overhead costs a lot. I'm not saying he hasn't been staying in shape, but I'm sure he hasn't been able to fully prepare the entire time because he might get a call.

 

He'll never make SMW again IMO. And if he did, Canelo would strangle him with about 20 rehydration clauses. I expect him to do a similar thing with Smith, like he did Chavez, Jacobs and Kovalev.
