I still find it hard to believe that you guys think this will be an on the level legitimate FIGHT !!
I hope I'm wrong but I see a huge con job being pulled on boxing fans No way can I see Oscar risking his one & only $$$$ maker against Chavez.

Since the beginning of GBP, it has promoted its fighters like a game of craps. That's what made them so refreshing and why they grew in popularity so rapidly.

You would have probably said the same thing before the Trout fight especially how he beat Cotto. You would have likely said it before the Lara fight.

Fact is GBP promotes and guides its fighters, but ultimately he lets them manage themselves. Canelo calls all the shots in his camp, Chepo Reynoso serves as his manager.

If you truly believe this garbage You need to start watching ballet not boxing. Oscar has caused Canelos' once rabid Mexican fans to disown him call him a coward etc
As for the Lara & Trout fights ?? Many boxing pundits thought Canelo lost both but Oscars $$$ & influence got him the nod. As for the Mayweather fiasco ?? Canelo got embarrassed & exposed

They would have to rewrite the contracts.

Jnr might as well add his own stipulation there about the weight penalties - $1 per every 1lbs over.

F*** Oscar and Canelo. I really hope GGG sparks him.

Nonsense... If the bet is indeed real Its CLEARLY a personal bet unrelated to the terms of their contracts. The bet is only for the guaranteed purse.

This fight is going to be huge. I think it will do between 900K-1.2 million.

Have they mentioned who will be on the undercard?

Regardless with all the media coverage I'm seeing on MX networks, it will be the richest fight for Chavez and for Canelo his biggest fight since Cotto. I would expect Canelo and Jr. to be on par with the Cotto fight if not surpassing it.

Big Mexican fight on 5 de Mayo, every bar in L.A. and SouthWest U.S. will have it for sure.
