That's rubbish and we have gone through this already. Turning down 8million to accept another 8million in fighting the #1 fighter at the time in Baldomir is your first obvious answer you're denying. Fact is people wanted Mayweather to beat the man who BEAT the man far more than the Margarito hype back then, plain hype with not a single win worth mentioning at the time as well.

Retirement?, I believe retirement came when Margarito already lost to Williams and never attempted to get a rematch even to this day.

The Cotto fight says NOTHING about Mayweather, where the hell are you bringing this junk up I don't know. Does Mayweather look like Cotto in ANY way?, does Mayweather go to the ropes with his head down welcoming countless predictable extremely slow uppercuts?, does Cotto move like Mayweather does?, does he have Mayweather's speed?, ABOVE ALL DOES HE HAVE MAYWEATHER'S STYLE AND OVERRALL ABILITY?

The answer is no. Using the Cotto fight as "proof" he will lose to Margarito is as good as your "Mayweather has more losses than Margarito!!!" thread which drowned and laughed at.

We should sticky a Margarito and Floyd thread, because this ****ing thing gets brought up every other day. Same arguments made since 2005, the thing's been thoroughly exhausted. Rarely do I read something groundbreaking in these threads, the last time something practical came out was the time when Arum got exposed for overblowing the 8 million offer. So unless something similarly important needs to be brought up, I suggest we all make a conscious effort to ****ing drop it.

Because it's really, really getting old.

The only one making a certain fighter seem like a God is YOU with your completely idiotic ass kissing bull****. Check out the questions almost everyone left you about Margarito to attempting to rematch ANY of the FIVE fighters he lost to including a recent one. It requires balls to fight Margarito now?, does that mean the half dozen clubfighters he has on his record with others are all-time-greats just for fighting him, huh? :rofl

Your answers are as good as your laughable trolling.

Floyd is a nightmare matchup for anyone, maybe a little less so for a true big 147 lb'er like Marg but he's still Floyd Mayweather. If Floyd loses this fight it will be because of size, because his talent level is several steps above Marg, who I also like, but be real man... Mayweather is ATG material, Marg is just a very rough, tough champ with an iron chin. I think if he fights Williams again he loses again.

I really think Floyd could and should still be fighting at 140, he just came up in weight chasing names and now he's stuck there with much bigger guys calling him out.

Read this and get back too me.:deal

JLC and Margo fight nothing alike and only a novice who knows little about boxing would think they do. First of all JLC was way more skilled and unlike Margo had a good jab which he used to get inside and go to the body which in his prime was one of the best body punchers in the game. He also had more power P4P than Margo does and faster handspeed as well. He also could cut off a ring unlike Margo. He had decent head movement and would pick off shots with his guard. He applied smart educated pressure behind a jab unlike Margo who walks forward following his opponent around with no game plan and no jab looking to eat shots to get his off hoping to wear down his opponents with his chin and stamina. All pressure fighters are not the same and to say Margo is basically the same as JLC is like saying Spinks is the same as PBF.:deal

Margarito would be a very worthy opponent for floyd and would no doubt give the man trouble (I always thought of him as a bigger castillio with a better chin). Floyd did struggle in the first fight and it was close but I did not feel castillio won (I think I scored it for floyd by a point). Floyd defintley did better and won the second fight more impressive, so you would think floyd would learn from his mistakes he made in the first fight. That said I do not think margarito would beat floyd. Floyd is use to fighting bigger opponents as well as pressure opponents, no doubt margarito is probably the most talented pressure fighter floyd fought but at the end of the day I do not think margarito has ever seen anything quite like floyd when compared to floyd seeing anything like margarito. Floyd wins a UD based on his ring movement, stanima (margarito relys on his opponents getting tired when was the last time floyd got tired ?), defense, and boxing ablility. I still feel to this day that the fighter with the best chance at beating floyd is cotto but thats a argument for another day.

He quit boxing because he felt he had nothing left to accomplish and got tired of it and wanted to do other things. It wasn't out of fear you stupid son of a *****.

I'm talking about overrall skill based on Margarito's style. **** poor defense, poor ring cutting skills, zombie-like speed and predictable style isn't really THAT threatening for someone in Mayweather's style. Margarito's best deal is breaking down Mayweather late by getting him to tire and we all know how good Mayweather's stamina is already, he WILL keep those punches up for 12 and if Margarito is able to take thme then so what?, that just means Mayweather is scoring and banking rounds all the way to the 12th. I'm not saying Margarito won't trouble him, yeah he will at some points during the fight but in the end Mayweather will be the one who landed far more and for OBVIOUS reasons.

Margarito is as scary as Vivian Harris was at 140, I'm sure you understand what I mean here VERY well.

You have some points but your not getting my point Cotto is a very skilled counter puncher, all common opponents he has with Floyd Cotto beat up and stopped Floyd decisioned them meaning Cotto does more damage when he hits you, Floyd doesnt do that kind of damage.

Margarito walked through all of that, and beleive the DLH fight is also a good fight to point out here, Oscar is a one handed fighter past his best days, and he still kept the fight close, close enough to get a SD, regardless of your opinion offically it is what it is.

Margarito will pressure Floyd thats what he does, but he also throws 100 plus shots per round meaning, Floyd is going to have to move all night, but he cant win a fight moving he has to set his feet and fire back and in doing so Tony will score his shots along the way, in order for Floyd to beat Tony he is either going to have to knock him out, Which will not happen or decision him, now when a man throws 100 plus shots per round sometimes that alone wins rounds on the cards.

then when you add aggression to that who knows. What I can tell you is that Floyd obviously does not want the fight, Floyd could come back now and fight this man and make a **** load of money if he wanted but nah, Floyds hoping Pacquiao finds a way to beat Oscar.
