That was said about every pressure fighter Floyd fought but did you even watch Margarito's pressure well enough to judge how affective he will be against someone in Mayweather's defensive ability and overrall skill?

Did you see how EXTREMELY WIDE his punches are?, how EXTREMELY PREDICTABLE they are?, how he doesn't even know how to cut off the ring well enough?, how SLOW he actually is?

How will that be affective against someone like Mayweather who will be constantly moving and even when on the ropes he will duck most of his predictable and slow punches, counter and move out of the corner?

When will you realize that Margo will not be throwing 100 punches a round against PBF who will be a moving target and he will be missing alot. His workrate will drop and his connect % will go down as well. What has been PBF's opponents connect % against him since he's been at 147 or 154? I'll tell you around 20 to 25% what makes you think that Margo who is the slowest and widest opponent PBF would have faced will be any different? Just because he throws 100 punches a round against guys who stand in front of him? How many punches a round was he throwing when Cotto was sticking and moving?

Mayweather would beat him, pretty easily. It's not a difficult pick to make.

People don't seem to realise Mayweather is far quicker, more defensively and tactically astute to get the Cotto treatment.

It just looks like the rounds where Cotto schooled him, except for 12.

It did no damage to Margarito and still Cotto looked like he was dominating till he ran out of gas and faded from the punches he had to take because of his poor defense. Even if Mayweather lands and doesn't do enough damage what difference will it make as long as he lands?, he's still scoring points isn't he?

Yes the DLH fight was close but let's face it, that was a new weight for Mayweather, his very first fight at the weight and against a fighter as skilled as DLH who was WAY bigger and also WAY stronger. Mayweather didn't really need to hurt him to back him off or win a decision, did he?

DLH is also FAR more accurate and faster than Margarito, FAR more. He's not as predictable as Margarito either and knows how to cut off the ring.

How will he throw 100 punches when Mayweather won't be standing in one place?, you do know that Mayweather will be moving all over the ring all night throwing counters, lead right hands, hooks all EASILY connected on Margarito who already proved he has **** poor defense. Yeah of course he will score but will he score enough to make the fight close?, I don't think so and based on styles it's OBVIOUS that won't be the case. To throw 100 punches a round he needs to position his self and by the time he does that, which is VERY predictable Mayweather will land his own and move out of there all the way, even if he stands he will duck most of those punches and counter with his own and move. Hell, if Cotto looked like "Sweet pea" early ducking some of Margarito's punches even though he's well known to not have not even decent defense then how do you think Mayweather will look?

Floyd's intentions aren't mentioned, all those rumors about fighting Pacquiao are basically rumors started by journalists and fans, last thing he said in an interview is that he's retired and happy doing what he's doing out of boxing. Pretty much the same rumors about Margarito possibly rematching Williams soon when reality proves otherwise and TOTALLY as his future plans are already mentioned(two fights next year, one with a decent opponent and the other a rematch with Cotto meaning that's nearly half of next year if not more already clear).

Didnt Mayweather say after the fight he was 147 so what you saw tonight was a welter weight beating a Jr middleweight so how is that another weight?

If he said that about Castillo I'd hate to see what he will say about Margarito who is WAY slower, his defense is WAY worse, doesn't know how to cut off the ring and throws extremely wide and predictable punches.

Uncle Roger will be writing an three paragraph essay.

He weighed in 150 and made the 154 weight limit, if he didn't the fight wasn't going to happen. Also in his list of accomplishments is the WBC Light Middleweight title, meaning he made that weight and won a championship fight at that weight.

Sorry man, but that's also as pathetic as the "Margarito has more losses than Mayweather" thread and "Defensive master elite Cotto lost to Margarito, Mayweather has no chance" post.

Yes Margarito has more losses than Floyd, no doubt, but Margarito has also faced bigger men than Floyd, not to make excuses a loss is a loss, However just becuase Margarito has 5 losses that doesnt mean he cant beat Floyd.

and Just becuase Floyd tickles your taint doesnt mean that he will beat Tony neither.

I never said that his losses have anything to do with him losing a fight with Floyd. When I say that then sure, you can leave me a post like that but I'm not stupid to say stuff like that.

I'm answering how he will lose to Floyd based on STYLES, not records. If it's based on records then this discussion would have drowned pretty much the same way your thread did.

Becasue the fight was offcially at 154 for the WBC title and the fact PBF came in on fight night weighing as much as a WW is a testamenet to his greatness not a knock.:deal
