Jeez you guys watch Joe beat up a load of bums and almost get his ass handed to him by popkins and you still believe he'd walk on water.

    Emperor's clothes !

Pascal has a better chin than Joe.

Froch looks far to susceptible to overhand rights, in my opinion he would get battered by Calzaghe

Pascal was made to look good by a god awful defence from Froch. Every over hand right landed right on Frochs chin. Pascal's KO rate aint that impressive. Against a bigger banger Froch is going down... Also despite Calzaghe slowing, even when dead he is a LOT quicker than Froch. Last nights fight was exciting but technically awful, Froch has a lot to learn. Kessler and Taylor will beat the Cobra.

I'm getting bored of the Calzaghe hero worship on these boards. Sure he probably beats Froch but Calzaghe himself is hardly Mr technical - he throws wild windmilling slaps like no ones business and wins most of his fights on work rate and questionable output. He often leaves himself wide open, and has been put down by two faded fighters in his last two fights.

Pascal was an undefeated fighter who has cleanly outpointed everyone he has met, and he could well prove to be pretty decent. I don't see a huge amount on Calzaghe's record better (for him to be held with such high esteem) then a WBC win against Pascal: a past best Hopkins, Kessler, Bika maybe... then you start to struggle... it's all much of a muchness...

As I stated elsewhere though only time will tell us how good or bad Pascal really is. He certainly has a very good chin, but going toe to toe with Froch is perhaps a bad tactical idea.

Calzaghe has nothing that could hurt Froch, but would probably out work him to a clear UD, imo.

Imagine how easy Calzaghe would have it jabbing Froch (carrying his low lead hand).

this is exactly what i thought when watching last night, of course i am a big fan of froch because hes from nottingham, but calzaghe of current, or the calzaghe of 5 years ago, would dismantle froch. he would probably win every round because it would be so easy for him. calzaghe would basically run circles around froch

I think Calzaghe - Froch is a good fight now Froch is WBC champion, it would have to take place at 175 though imo because De La Hoya and Roy Jones have proved, old fighters shedding weight does them no good.

It would be a comfortable decision win for Calzaghe, but still a good win.

:roflHopkins lost 9 rounds to 3 doing nothing but hold, foul and fake low blows.

If Pascal had more workrate he could of schooled Froch, workrate Is one of Froch's weaknesses.

Plus Froch has had the Calzaghe fight offered and turned It down.

Hennessey's already touting for a "catchweight" fight around 172 so they don't have to risk Froch's title. Little risk - massive reward for Froch. If they play this right, they should offer Calzaghe everything in a gamble that he KO's Joe and makes himself a world superstar. If he loses, back down to 168 with his WBC title in tact.

Froch's a decent guy and decent boxer. His defence is too open for him to be able to beat Calzhage though, and as Calzhage doesn't have a knockout punch, it would be another 12 round slap-fest with Joe winning a disappointing fight in 12 rounds.

    Kessler's a different proposition. He'd ko Froch.
