Nope the fed is a private entity that the government gave complete control of the banking infrastructure to. The only power the government has over the Fed is to audit them and determine if they will still give their power to them, outside of that the elected representatives have no authority over them.

This is why Henry Ford is once thought to have said “It is well enough that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

The fed is a completely private organization, crazy isn't it. Let that sink in.

The Austrian isn't similar to the Chicago school which is pretty much the only other economic school in the mainstream. It is clear from what you have discussed earlier that you don't know about the other schools, especially the Austrian school.

I understand Keynes quite clearly, I had to study his "version" of economics in my two macro-economics courses. Again if you find faults in my interpretation of Keynesian stances please let me know and lets have a discussion, but your claim of "propaganda" is insufficient.

If you think I'm not in your depth so be it, I've seen no example of that in our discussion. I haven't really read a substantial argument from you with regard to the benefits of long run heavy debt government budgets being a good thing, especially when you and I both know that historically and right now the result of that is government default or hyper-inflation.

You say I made outlandish claims on the Canadian economic system, tell me where was I wrong in saying that your nation is quickly approaching a time where you are projected not to have enough money to fund your healthcare system. Tell me where I'm wrong in your government obtaining massive debt to try to ride out the global recession and how that has the effect of artificially stimulating an economy that will inevitably lead to an economic bust, which typically in the Keynesian school will call for even more economic subsidization to keep it running.

What claim did you make about surplus and debt reduction? If you are going to base your system on theft, aka taxation, then the best way to do that is to drastically cut spending and tax rates, but that again like I said in the previous post is a immoral solution because it is based solely on coercion and theft of property.

Like I said before it is clear what the deal is with you you are a die-hard educated Keynesian and you are scared to look at the failure of your school of economics and for that I feel for you because I think you are a person interested in learning.
