Look, Kov had the first 5 and the KD, then rounds were closer. Ward was on the back foot and fighting timidly. I don't know what the American fascination is with running and pot shotting then grabbing but it's why UFC is gaining interest, people want to see fighters engage and rewarded for aggression, work rate and engaging.
Ward was bullied and those tight rounds go to the champion and the aggressor.

 

I get what your saying, but ward had kov wrapped around his finger second half of the fight, had him trying to fight of the back foot (he failed), had him in the clinch when desired, was beating him up in the clinch, got his defense tight and he was able to get his timing and distant right for offense and defense. Kov didn't adjust and began to look abit loss, only his power kept that fight close.
