Honestly he needs to consider a change of career. If you're afraid to get a broken jaw, afraid to get cut on the face, afraid to get physically damaged, boxing isn't for you. It's a damaging sport and that is why few people are willing to do it in the first place and why ordinary people look up to professional boxers. If you don't want to get hurt then Amateur boxing is for you, but if you go professional you should be prepared to risk your life in the ring, to take punishment, to get your jaw broken, to get knocked out. This is part of boxing and while the ref and doctors ringside should protect boxers from themselves boxers are paid to do a dangerous job.
yeah b/c kelly has quit multiple times, saying he didnt deservied to get smacked around. he has also flagrantly and inexplicably fouled his opponent only to try and hug and kiss him after and then seemingly pose for his oppoenent to knock him out only to laugh about it afterwards. victor ortiz is a head case and the man needs to talk to someone before continuing his career. so is pavlik...haha **** yourself you butthurt little fanboy.
I remember razor ruddock went the full 12 with a ferocious tyson with a broken jaw couldnt understand him even talk afterwards
i heard that corner stuff. kelly saying he couldnt see. but he manned up and finished the fight didnt he? and i'm not talking about the injuries you ****ing pavlik hater. i'm talking about his behavior in the ring. don't avoid the argument about ortiz by blasting pavlik. its childish.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mx0P9QckqHw&feature=related[/ame] Holyfield says it best. It's about giving your all win or lose.
Why the hostility? I speak the truth, Ortiz lacks CRITICAL attributes to be successful in this sport. If you don't like it, fanboy, that's not my problem. I call 'em as I see 'em. If it cracks like glass, maybe - just maybe - it IS glass!!
You hit the nail right on the head... I am too young to remember Duran quitting against Leonard, Chicanito Hernandez quitting against DeLahoya,Arguello quitting against Pryor. I am not saying if he should have continued or not. But, how the hell do you know what a broken jaw feels like in a title fight ? The aforementioned fights had great fighters who quit. You really know your boxing ... Oh yeh, by the way, how could we ever forget that Sugar Ray (yes Robinson) quit against Maxim ???????????????
