Well @ least the Klits asked him because nobody else (inlcuding Mormeck it seems) wants a a piece of them. Indeed, the only guy who does is a Polish warrior. But Haye is now going after Mormeck? A guy who is now more washed up then ever! A guy who although past prime @ CW had Haye on ***** street while he was only saved by a quick taking of the knee! Riddle me this people: If Haye knew Chagaev had hepetitus (which lets face it; he did being his mandatory since lord knows when) why did he chicken from the Wlad fight saying he had to fight Chagaev.........knowing full well he wouldn't fight Chagaev? Couldn't he have checked with the British Boxing Board BEFORE telling Wlad no and that he must face Chagaev (which he knew he wouldn't) Haye = :rofl (But he still does Hendo proud :yep)
Ehhhh... Haye tried to fight him, Wlad wanted Chisora instead. Im not going to jump all over Haye for not fighting for free (when Setanta went bankrupt) or balking at a deal where he had to fight Wlad, Vitali, Wlad, and then a guy of Wlad's selection, a kangaroo, a robot...etc.
Pretty sure the WBA won't strip him, instead I believe they are enabling him to fight joke opponents. Remember when the first signs were that he would fight Harrison? The fight was already called on boxrec, Audley was telling it to the press, Haye kept denying it, and Harrison wasn't ranked in the top 15 by the WBA and they even called upon it that the bout wouldn't be sactioned. Couple days later... Sudden update from the WBA with Audley coming in at 13 out of nothing. Fight goes on as planned. Now the WBA suddenly pushes Rahman up the ranks, probably as the one who could be the replacement for the Chagaev bout wich they already knew probably wouldn't happen. Rahman only beat a couple of bums after beïng out for more than a year following his onesided defeat against Wlad. But that wasn't an easy enough opponent for Haye, because Hasim has shown on his bumrun that he still has punching power. So bring in WBA "International Champion" Mormeck. Easy sell as a replacement because of his belt, and Haye has nothing to fear from the over the hill Frenchman who besides TKOing a bum back in 2006, hasn't stopped an opponent for close to 8 years now! And still it can be sold as a "dangerous" fight for Haye, because he dropped Haye in their CW encounter in '07. Looks like the WBA will allow Haye to fight whichever bum he wants until he retires.
You make a solid points vs Rahman Robney. Plus if Haye KO's Rahman sooner than Wlad did people will turn around and say he did it quicker so is better and that could be Haye's thinking. Lets not forget 95% of boxing fans don't actually follow the sport as e do if Haye gets a quicker KO he is better in their eyes - the vast majority of boxing fans do not understand stayles make fights.
It'd be different if Haye both fought 3 times a year and fought fellow top 10's... or top 20's for that matter. Aside from Valuev he doesn't come close to either of those.
