Mayweather would've won.
He isn't Cotto, Margorito isn't his class.
He could easily move around throwing several punches and if for some reason the fight wouldn't end like Mayweather Coralles then he definately would win by decision.

Margarito came into the Cotto fight wearing leather where his face should have been, theres noway Floyd would have cut him up bad. Cotto was landing flush combinations on Margo in the early rounds and his face looked pristine. Floyd would be potshotting, slapping, tapping and racking up as many points as he could, he definitely wouldn't be sitting down on his shots and hanging around for long.

 

I really don't get it guys how do u manage to compare p4p king and a guy with a record of 25-5.

Don't think that's a possibility AT ALL, Cotto landed some serious punches and didn't come close to cutting or bruising Margarito. Mayweather's best chance here is a UD victory, using his defense and speed to his advantage to outpoint Margarito and make him miss.

The Daniel Santos cut came from a SERIOUS headbutt as both came charging in. Santos is a southpaw so headbutts occur fighting a southpaw for a right hander(Margarito) who charges in reckless fashion sometimes.
