Golovkin's main goal right now is to unify his division. That's a huge personal achievement for him, something he's been focusing on.

He won't move down to 154 or up to 168 unless it's for a big PPV fight that makes sense financially. If that isn't open, then he'll continue to try and unify his division. Once he does, then he'll make the move up to 168 for good.

Collecting the other belt against tiny welter is an easy task.

Not surprising its a huge personal achievement to him:tired

Probably he could have got a decent fight when he had like 15 fights, but he was too busy fighting bums in germany.

That is the issue with all "champions" nowadays. GGG has every right to demand big money fights, too. And until he is able to break in, he will have to continue what he is doing....and he is doing it well enough to be "kept out."

Mayweather had one of his best performances at age 36. People's bodies breakdown faster/slower than others, so old is a relative term for me.

Golovkin can easily unify his own division (160) without any problems. People are too passionate to want to see him lose that it takes someone from a higher weight class to do it, that alone should tell you how great GGG is, that someone from a higher weight class has a chance to beat him, someone like Froch or Andre Ward. If anything the people who want GGG to move up are giving GGG too much credit, since they are practically saying GGG cannot be beaten in his own weight class lol! Haters are actually complimenting him haha.

Lol, he has fought his entire career in the same weight. Is it asking too much to move up a single weight division for once in his life? There are people that moves through 8 divisions, ok, we dont ask for that. One, just one single division in his whole life, and just in order to look for a decen challenge instead of beating one macklin after the other.

He has to unify the titles first, he cant just skip his weight class and avoid unification. Also if he does move up and loses to only one fighter, people are going to call him an overhyped bum. If he wins all titles in the 168 division, people would want him to move up, and if he loses to anyone in the 175 pound weight class, people are going to start calling him a bum or an overhyped con man. Golovkin can never win with the haters :yep

SOB Ward fans do not want him to move up just 3 lbs. from his last fight and fight Stevenson or Kovalev, even Beterbiev would do.............but instead, Ward came down to 168 when fighting pro, he fought as a light heavyweight as an amateur..................Hagler never went up, Monzon, etc., the big fights are at 160, his own weight division. Ward said he could beat Klitscko, but you don't see him signing a contract for that fight............................I don't blame Ward for not fighting Klitschko, he would get stepped on and crushed like and ant.................Ward will make money by fighting unknown fighters................Golvokin wants to unify the titles.................Golovkin is good fighter, he had 350 fights as an amateur, lost only 5........................Vlad won gold medal, yet the same ones who hate the Klitschkos also hate Kovalev, Beterbiev, Golovkin, Lomachenko, etc.
