    Sugar Ray leonard, sugar shane mosley. Leonard a great, mosley close to great. But that name belongs to Ray. How dare they take his name. I know the thread is strange but why bite his name. Its like The rapper Rick Ross calling himself Rick Ross lol

    The nickname "sugar" can only be "dubbed" on THE BEST boxers. . .

    You can't just call yourself sugar. . . Since Sugar Ray Robinson, the nick name is only reserved for the slickest, and most savvy boxers. . . It has to be GIVEN to you!


    Mosley didn't deserve it. . . Leonard was definitely the deserving heir to "sugar", though. . . Right now, we're still waiting for the next one to be dubbed with the legendary "sugar" handle.

    no reason. just people read a few articles n throw GOAT out there too fast. I believe what greb did was a little better. no footage but his resume is not even right its just stupid. greb, armstrong, robinson, ccharles , langfordall can be number 1

    Christ, they group him next to Muhammad Ali when talking about a particular brand of fighter and it makes my stomach turn.

    honestly don't see how Robinson has come to be known primarily as this grand, elegant boxer. Sure, He circled the ring with fluidity and balance and possessed a quick, accurate jab, but used it to set up and unload an array of power punches, effectively choosing his spots and ripping off multiple shots to the body and head at the drop of a dime. He had so much speed and power, could punch and hurt you wading in-and-out, going forward or backwards, with a cast iron chin of his own. This is based primarily on Middleweight material, when Robinson was over 30 years old and no longer at his peak or even his most dominant weight class. :blood

    He was nothing like Ali. He was a lot better. :deal

    I know Burleys son. I met billy Conn a number of times at parties when i was a kid, I in know pittsburgh boxing kid. Greb was the greatest ever.
