According to Zuffa a woman is the baddest on the planet :rofl MMA used to be cool but those idiots are doing a great job of ruining it with their increasingly stale, and over-saturated product.
They do learn basic grappling, exactly what I stated, so therefore I am not wrong. You do understand what grappling is? It is obvious this Sammy spastic does not. And why is it a precondition that they do not sweat and why would the other dude be naked in your description? :huh Some really strange dudes on here with some really freaky ideas of training.:nut
There are some idiots on here that need humbling. Go into any MMA/BJJ gym and you would come out with the utmost respect for these dudes. Bernard Hopkins, who SLATED MMA for YEARS and called it '*******xual" (which is ironic seeing how he was coming out in a gimp mask before every fight and clinches more than any MMA'er on earth) zoo changed his tune when Eddie Alvarez trained alongside him. No doubt got humbled by a LW!
Extremely interesting. The thing of losing power while wrestling. That's why mma fighters looks less explosive.
Huerta is 170 lbs, mma weight classes are always higher than boxing ones; but the dude he sparked was a professional linebacker.
it's one of the reasons Muay Thai scores punches last - with all the grappling, parrying and impact from kicks punches really fade in power in all but the best in the all important later rounds. A real good example is Lee breaking Shamrock's arm with repeated thai kicks that he could not parry or check.
How ironic this statement is. If anyone needs to be humbled, it's you. You have the wrong attitude. You are not invulnerable. Nobody is invulnerable. I don't care how many fighting styles you know, nor your proficiency in each style, you are still flesh and bone. Look at what happened to Anderson Silva. If I were you, I would consider the long term ramifications of having your joints put in compromising positions. When you're young, you don't think about these things, but perhaps you should. In addition to having your joints destroyed, your lack of defense and "hard man" attitude towards stand up fighting will leave your body battered. And in a street fight, how do you plan on being effective when you're harboring multiple injuries? Additionally, most people who engage in those types of confrontations do it out of fear, which means they are typically accompanied by several other members. In that situation, boxing and possibly judo, is the best method to evade your opponents or end the confrontation as quickly as possible. Now, let's assume for some reason you're fighting some naked imbecile in a field. Well, perhaps that's when you're MMA skills will come into play for a real life situation.
I think the best chance a boxer has is to end a fight quickly, although I saw one guy box an MMA fighter using a good jab and footwork, winning a decision. It's incredibly rare, though. I just accept that they are different sports and enjoy both.:good
