Maybe Allen would be better off getting beaten tonight... Otherwise he will fight Povetkin in 6 weeks on the Campbell Lomachenko undercard.
One word... Delusional There are already odds available with Povetkin being the favourite but not that big of a favourite... If it happens I'm banking on it.
IF he beats Price and Browne back to back, he will eclipse Ortiz's resume and be on par with Wilder's. Ortiz gets all the respect in the world for wobbling Wilder, why not rate Price for wobbling Povetkin the same? Allen solid top ten fighter if he starches Price, why not fight Pov? He will get out boxed for sure but he might be catching a shot and unmotivated Povetkin....
I mean, Povetkin is pushing 40 and inactive. He shouldn't be "dangerous" for someone like Allen, although I do think Povetkin would still have too much for him

I felt genuinely sad reading the headline of this thread. Allen is a nice guy and I really hate seeing him taking the kind of shots he takes again and again. I think he gets the victory tonight but I worry about the shots he might take on his way there. He has no business getting in the ring with any version of an Olympic Champion boxer. WTF is eddie doing trying to throw him in with a 6 week turnaround also!?!?!? Is the matchroom stable really that thin now? Talk about exploiting your fighter.
Imagine if Allen pulled it off! I really like Allen, but he is not on that level. Unless he has made some drastic improvements, I don't see how he could get that W.
