Bud I'm not saying that the whole fight was nip and tuck, stop making stuff up lol. I'm saying the first 4 rounds were nip and tuck and then Bivol started pulling away after that, aside from round 9 which was a big Canelo round. If you give Canelo the first 4 rounds and the 9th, then the fight was "up for grabs" near the end because that's 5 rounds and 1 more is a draw. But that 1 more never came because Bivol clearly won the rest of the rounds. This isn't rocket science. I fully recognize that the rounds that Bivol won (5-8, 10-12) were more one sided and easier to score than the round Canelo won. If one fighter edges 4 or 5 rounds and the other fighter wins 7 rounds convincingly, the fight is up for grabs even though overall one fighter clearly was doing better overall. That's what happened here. Saying Canelo got whooped is a stretch but if it makes you feel better to say that go ahead lol. Really he just gassed and gave away the mid and late rounds after a good start. We'll see what happens in the rematch, sounds like you expect the rematch to be very one sided in favor of Bivol. We will see.

 

Fight was not close, that's what I am saying. As far as the rematch goes. Canelo is a great fighter. He should do better, but he needs to work behind the jab an set up his punches. I knew that straight forward style he used against plant and Yerdrim would not work against Bivol. If he gets some head movement and fients he can win.

 

He has to pace himself better in the rematch.

 

He also needs to mix up his punches better. Bivol is pretty good defensively. Can't keep hurling power shots all night.
