LOL, I still remember when Lampley first started hyping a Wlad-Peter rematch. As usual, he said it with his typical arrogance: "If you're a boxing fan, then you're looking forward to a rematch between Wlad Klitschko and Sam Peter". I remember hearing that and thinking, "I am????" :huh WTF had Peter done to warrant a rematch with Wlad?? Keep in mind, this was before Peter had even beaten Maskaev, let along signed to fight Vitaly. Even worse is that HBO acted like Peter was actually impressive when he beat Maskaev, and that that proved he was all ready for a rematch with Wlad. atsch

I'm glad HBO's "plans" got f*cked. To be fair, if Peter had gotten by Vitali, I would've agreed that he was worthy of a rematch with Wlad, but not before that. But the way HBO actually tells people what fights they want to see, and tries to force interest in a fight, is disgusting. By far, they are the worst network when it comes to that.


I wonder what Lampley will say about it the next time he's on the air? Will he just act like it never happened, or will he say something even more stupid and arrogant like "The whole boxing world was shocked to see Peter upset by Vitaly, when he looked so close to megafight showdown with Wlad..." STFU, Lampley!! :tong
