Still suckin that Brooklyn ****. Ain't **** fallin out of the sky. Stop comparing Stevens to Tyson already!
He was comparing a similar underdog situation and not necessarily tyson vs. stevens. Atlas was right about Stevens being able to land that left hook. Only problem is Brinkley wasn't hurt by it.
That was a decent little scrap though. Plenty of drama, some interesting cornerman action, some knockdowns and a decent bit of competitiveness (at least through 8 or so)... Not a bad fight at all. One of those consensus 3rd-or-4th-Best-Fight-of-the-Year type fights. I thought the funniest part though was when, after the 12th ended, Tessitore was screaming "GOOD STUFF HERE IN RENO! GOOD STUFF!", doing the usual Joe-Tessitore-Overly-Excited-Yell move, then pauses for a second, catches his breath, clears his throat and starts pitching Just For Men...
It was mighty strange that Atlas was making it sound like he was ringside for Tyson v. Douglas... he loves telling that boring story about picking somebody up from the airport and hearing the news from a toll booth worker on the way home.
Teddy Atlas is from Staten Island not BK. Yes, he could have been a little baised b/c Stevens is a NY golden gloves champion, and national GG champion. The Tyson comparison was not a compliment to Stevens. Teddy was saying that Stevens handles adversity like Tyson. Not a good thing. Why do u automaticly think of a man blowing another man when he shows him support?:huh
