Good old Alabama, where men are men and sheep are nervous! Wilder wants the fight on the farm in Alabama! Wilder makes good money fighting winos from the alley, he also has HAYMON BOXING INSURANCE!

    It's business.

He has something that Joshua wants.

Like many other fans, you are claiming a duck because you're frustrated and you want to see the fight. But trust me, if you were a businessman working with Shelly Finkle, you wouldn't accept it.

    Relax, they'll continue to negotiate.

    It will happen soon.

Nobody in Finkle's position is going to accept a flat fee offer from a fight that would generate millions in PPV revenue and sponsors etc.

It doesn't matter that it's 6 x the amount that he's earnt in the past.

It's a super fight in the division, and Wilder's team are going to push for everything that they can.

    It's just business.

Well, Tyson Fury’s just been on TV alongside Frank Warren, he looks very fit, seemed very focused and businesslike. His comeback fight is scheduled for June 9th, no opponent named yet but if he performs well I think he’s just one more fight away from a shot at the title.

Why is this important in relation to this thread?
If Wilder-Joshua doesn’t get made then within the time scale of a couple of fights, maybe even by years end, Fury will surpass Wilder as the opponent fight fans want in the ring with Joshua! Eddie Hearn will recognise that significantly more money would be made by fighting Fury and with a definite rematch clause in the deal (Warren will insist) then Joshua will be tied up till late 2019.

If Wilder really does want this fight/payday then he better stop posturing and sign the deal or he’s out of the picture and lose his big payday. It’s my suspicion that Wilder will get beat by someone sooner or later, he’s been getting either outboxed or badly wobbled by just about everyone he fights before landing his Hail Mary, it’s just a matter of time before someone avoids that KO shot and outpoints him or knocks him out. I think Parker will be the one that ends Wilders reign but there are others out there with a chance too.

If Joshua deals with Fury over a 2 fight deal there will be a big challenge from Daniel Dubois looming as early as 2020, then there’s Povetkin maybe Usyk or another Whyte showdown all fights where Joshua makes £15 Million to £20 Million.

Good post. But there's still plenty of time for negotiations between Hearn and Finkle.

As a fan of Tyson's, I really don't want him to rush back. My fear is that he'll feel confident after his comeback and then throw down a challenge to Joshua. As much as I'd love to see him fight both of Joshua and Wilder, I'd rather wait until next year. If he's fighting in June, I'd like to see him fight again towards the end of the year. It's great news though.

Not only is it a career-high payday, it exceeds all of his previous 40 purses combined, going back 10 years.

I've heard that he's at minimum a 100 million draw on the US market.

E-Hearn spttin' facts about the offer he's made to Team Donkeypotamus, the respective purses for both fighters, and how much he thinks the fight would generate. He also said that Parker didn't get as much as being reported (£13 mill) and that Donkey would be getting double what Parker got.
