Poor old dude keeps winning purse bids and everyone's like "er.... no" to fighting him in bulgaria.

    Its actually become comical.

Will big K get his hometown showdown?

Why is he so desperate to fight at home in Bulgaria when he gets better exposure and better money fighting abroad? And why are opposition so hesitant to go to Bulgaria to face him? Is corruption through the roof there?

Kabayel have EBU duties up next. Wallin is injured. Shwarz won't take it because of his unwillingness to face live oppoents. But Dinu might face him.

Can't be long now before this is opened up to forum members. I have some mitts hidden away somewhere and will begin my training program soon. I'll set up a gofundme for the purse bid.

What purses are the oppoents offered? I bet its pitiful. If the right money was paid I think they'd come to Bulgaria. Didn't Chagaev fight in Grozny? Browne and Oquendo came there if I recall correctly. They were paid handsomely by that dictator guy.

if the purse bids are won by Pulevs team, shouldn't the payday be greatest there?

He will get the opponent he wants; someone so uncompetitive that this will be the best fight they could ever get. He's doing this to DISCOURAGE good opponents, not ENCOURAGE them. He wants a straight line to the AJ golden ticket

Concur with some of the posts here. I think Dinu might be Pulevs best hope at a fight in Bulgaria.

Nobody likes to give away hometown advantage but if you do you expect to get paid well and 400k for Whyte was never going to cut it when Whyte is fighting on a PPV next.

You're correct. And usually, in eliminators, I believe it's a 50/50 split isn't it? What was the purse bid amount Pulev's promoter won't this with I wonder?
