Great post. I love characters like him in boxing. Every bit as interesting as the world champions that most worship. The sport is built on the backs of guys like this.

Ooh, might have to lay a smackerel on Mock just on principle.

I basically just can’t wait to see Mock once again make his very slow ring walk. He always walks so extremely slow, and it takes him forever to get up there, because he prefers to hear the rest of the song.

Exemplified here when he was still virtually unknown to the Danish audience. Picked as an opponent for the promoters own fighter:

With the sun glasses on. And with the leopard skin around his shorts. From the leopard that he had to kill with a spear at the age of 18 as a coming-of-age ritual.

And here is the knock out in that specific fight:

Before this he was invited to fight cruiserweights in Denmark, even though he is a natural super middleweight. This was a light heavyweight bout and Alvarez was 15-1.

With this win Mock landed his first long term contract in Denmark (meaning more than one fight).

PS: He will be 46 in three months.

The card will begin to air in 2½ hours, main event probably in ~6½.

Mm, nope, current local time in Copenhagen is 4:43pm. They are GMT+1, so in 6.5 hours it will be about 11pm there.

Hopefully this RBR is better than the Michael Hunter vs Oswaldo Ortega and Gianmarco Cardillo vs Ivan De Berardino ones.

Hey, both times I put my best foot forward - only to have a goddamn bowling ball dropped on it by false promises from fickle broadcasters. :teeth:

I'm fairly confident a Mogens Palle card will be televised, however. I'm not sure there has been one since before my parents were born that hasn't been.
