Rigo was ready to fight with Loma at a featherweight limit of 126 pounds but with a rehydration clause of 134 pounds for fight night. Loma’s manager Egis Klimas in conversation with AllBoxing.Ru: Rigo proposals of the limitations in weight are not considered seriously. Wanting is not harmful. For example, I want to fly into space. There are rules, there is a featherweight division, and we will act within its framework.

Soooo, the fight probably isn't going to happen after all?

    Big shocker there (yes, sarcasm).

Lomachenko can make the 135lb clause anyway, it should be no problem for him, if he agrees to this out of sportsmanship I hope he follows up on it.

He's come under 135lbs in multitude of his fights, in his very first fight he came 6lbs below that (129lbs), and then 132lbs against Piriyapinyo I believe which was actually one of his better performances.

Agreed, no need to sabotage a good fight with some buffoonery, I don't really like this guy much... (Klimas that is).

So all the people that said Loma doesn't rehydrate much are the same ones that have a problem with the rehydration clause that Loma should have no trouble making?

I've no problem with it, I don't agree with these kind of things normally but I think in this particular fight it's fair.

Lomachenko was only once knocked down in his boxing career.
It was in the first round of the final fight (57 kg) with Vladimir Rodionov (St.Petersburg, Russia) in the XI International tournament in memory of S.Trestin in Odesa (Ukraine) on july 22, 2007.
In second round Loma responded sending an opponent to the canvas twice. After that Rodionov's corner threw a white towel.
Loma said about it here (2:17-2:52):

    co sign:good

there are plenty of options for loma, but rigo aint gonna be one of em after he goes to 130.

take it now, negotiate the 134 clause up to 136/137 or blow it off and pay the penalty
rigo needs this fight financially, he will fight Loma if Loma comes in at 170.

If Loma cant do 134, and Rigo wont concede, then pay him 100K on fightnight, and make the fight.

If Loma dont take this, it's a DUCK.:nono:nono:nono

I agree, fighters should stay in recognized divisions. Lomachenko's team had no business calling out someone not competing in his division in search of a fight.
