It's not merely just laughable. It's absolutely comical beyond words. Loma rehydrates up to about 138 after weighing in at 135, not skipping any meals all week, looking fully rehydrated and the picture of health. He wasn't the one saying by tomorrow I'm going to look like a completely different man.. a whole new man or saying he looked skinny now but come tomorrow he would look like a monster lol. He looked exactly the same on fight night as he did at the weigh in, Lopez, however..

Not sure if I want to get into this fray, but here goes. Didn't they both weight 142 at the 30 day weigh in mark? Seems like they were cutting a similar amount of weight. I know they are listed at different heights, but that's often for promotional purposes, most of the boxers seem shorter than their listed heights, and sometimes taller when they don't want it to seem like they have an advantage. At the stare down they looked the same height to me. The arm length is tricky too. If it's finger tip to finger tip some guys have longer shoulders and fingers, but shorter arms, I like the shoulder to knuckle measurement myself. Supposing the ratios are the same for both fighters,a three inch advantage, that turns into a 1.5 inch advantage per arm.

I'm kind of tired of the excuses both ways. I thought it was a competitive match up, run it back for a rematch.

Lopez is obviously larger than Loma, duh. How much do you think Lopez rehydrated vs Loma? Doesn't sound like he's staying at 135 too long. Look at Mikey Garcia, remember he said he could make 135 for Loma a couple of years back but then he moved up to 140 and 147 and now he's too big to come down to 135. Lopez had a considerable size advantage on Loma. We've seen fighters move up to higher weights and have the same kind of success they had at the lower weights. Look at Pac, Mayweather, RJJ all started from lower weights then moved up multiple weight classes and had success at the higher weight classes. Loma hasn't been able to do move up weight classes with ease like other greats have.

Wow this is some sissy crap if I've ever heard any. The most skilled boxer of all we heard for his entire career he won a gold at 133 but he can't handle a 22 year old Lopez at 135? Christ Almighty if that isn't the lamest excuse I've ever heard.

The absolute FUNNIEST part about it is how we have all been told Rigo, a 5'3 career 118 pound fighter leapfrogging a weight class at 40+ years was one of Lomas best performances. You can't make this **** up

Being completely fair, Loma had size advantage over quite a few of his opponents before he moved up to LW. Gary Russell, Sosa, Rigo obviously, Walters to a lesser extent. Nobody made size excuses for these guys besides Rigo fans, and even then people wanted to claim Loma beat him purely on skill and size wasn’t an issue.

I think we just have to accept as great as Loma is, he’s not a Floyd/Pac type talent that can move through the divisions beating bigger guys.

He wasn't so small that all the Loma fans figured him to lose ..... they all were sure he'd win.
But he's small enough for all the Loma fans to make it the main excuse after his loss and act indignant at all suggestions that Lomachenko wasn't ever quite as great as he's been hyped up to be.

I heard Manny say those very words after the fight. " Margarito was too big & too strong,I was lucky to have survived I have never been hit so hard in my life before" That was right before he collapsed in pain from his battered ribs

    You dont get it.

It doesnt matter if you are right or not. If not the size, it will be his father's plan, if not an injury, if not some constipation, if not the lack of crowd, if not you must watch the fight in sLomotion, if not you need to watch the fight without sound, if not you need to watch the fight on reverse, if not... if not... if not... if not...

Reality doesnt matter. They are sLomotards, they do what sLomotards do, and they do not give a **** about facts.

Being so ******ed is so impressive that I actually start to think that it is done on purpose to increase the forum's traffic. That ******ed it is.

And I understand you, you try to use reason to show the reality to people who you think are wrong. Well, they know it, they just dont give a F. So dont be hard on yourself if you find out that your effort didnt convince any of them.

You still think it was fake FFS... You have ZERO credibility, so you trying to say 'use reason' is like a your fat ass momma telling you to take it easy at the dinner table...

It's daft... People can't see the blatantly obvious... Loma might be same height and maybe an inch less in reach...but next to Lopez looked like a pre pubescent teen .... Lopez is a bigger guy.. Far bigger

Are you really surprised that these guys are coming up with excuse after excuse as to why Loma lost? This is what being a fan of the sport means now. You **** on other fighters you don't like, never give them any credit and if your hero loses(god forbid) make up as many excuses as possibly to justify the loss. If you have a different opinion than they do, YDKSAB or your biased against certain fighters. No real dialogue.

Or could someone not be making excuses for their heroes and just giving a logical observation on the fight (coming from a guy who was ecstatic when salido beat lomachenko)

Imagine walking into the gym for some sparring and you walk up to a guy who fights in your weight class and is the same height as you and telling him it's not a fair fight because his shoulders are wider than yours. Now imagine a fighter with 400 wins being hailed as the most skilled boxer ever saying it.

Well to be fair the most important factors in size are height and shoulder width.
