I don't think it's fake for the record. Just a possibility. Most likely it's just highly exaggerated. Truth is Loma is the most overrated fighter of all time. He struggled against a Linares who was getting outboxed by Campbell badly. His aura of invincibility has waned. Playing it off like he had some awful injury during the fight gives him an excuse for his performance. I'm going to make a thread about why Loma is the most overrated of all time sometime this week.
Yh i agree.. I mean Crolla LOL Clearly cherry picked the easier Linares over Flanagan right? Crolla didnt want that work.. Linares ain't no 'beast' right? Flanagan was d man...
I think Crolla saw Linares as more vunerable since Mitchell was outboxing him. Crolla is a C level fighter that struggled with a shot to bits Burns who lost every round against Indongo lmfao. Linares is definitely a beast. He was underrated before discussions of Loma, then he became one of the most overrated fighters to boost Loma's resume.
Yes, two time olympic gold medalist... 396-1 amateur record, World champ in his 3rd fight beating a kid you were probably saying is the future of American boxing, 3 division world champ... beating Rigo who you probably said would whoop his ass, then moving up and beating Linares who outweighed him by 15lbs... he tore his labrum in the second round and was only able to throw straight shots with the injured arm... dominated pretty much all of the fight, Linares' speed is misleading as it makes you think he lands more than he actually does.
Yes. Loma is a great talent, but I've never seen a fighter this overrated to this extent. Is he a hypejob? No. But he's definitely extremely overrated.
I will address this all in my thread. For the record I've gave him all the credit in the world for beating GRJ. He deserves a lot of credit for beating Linares too. Rigo though? LMFAO, I never would pick a 38 year old inactive fighter to move up 2 weight classes and beat a p4p talent.
Why did Crolla avoid Flanagan to fight Linares though man? ***** move.. Crolla didn't want that work!
Don't they have a domestic rivarly? Probably didn't want to get clowned by his rival. Let's be honest, Flanagan would have toyed with Crolla. Crolla is not good. Linares also seems to be much chinnier, so he probably thought it was the better bet.
