And that's also fair. While I think Loma is a world beater, 11 fights is a short resume.

Wrong. I'm a Lomachenko fan, not to be confused with a Lomasexual. And wrong again, Lomachenko accepted the fight regardless of Salido being 2 pounds over the limit, he took the risk, and the fight was well within the legal rules of boxing with the title only being at stake for Loma. No asterisk needed.

And I've pointed out the failure of your logic. Why not count Loma's semi pro fights, what was that, 5 under basically pro rules? Why not count the hundreds of amateur fights? Age comparison is fair considering you don't expect 41 yo Floyd to fight Loma at SFW NOW, do you fella?

So. Prime for prime, age for age Loma <<<<<< FLoyd

It's worth pointing out that Floyd had 9 title fights before moving up to lightweight, and Loma's had 10 total thus far (though some were at 126). Loma's also fought a wider range of styles than Floyd had at that point.

Disagree. Speed, too close to call. Power, at the same weight, too close to call. They each have different power. PBF is sneaky power, whereas Loma's power is attrition. Reflexes, slight edge to Loma. Size, they would have been fighting at the same weight, so even. Versatility, clearly Loma, due to his movement.

Lomo just does not have the body of work to suggest he wins more than a couple rounds against TBE! Even suggest this would be competitive shows a real lack of perspective and boxing knowledge.

You have no respect for TBE and are falling for the latest flavor of the month. I happen to be a big Lomo fan but you just cannot mention his name in the same sentence with FMJ at this stage.

So who do you think would win then if Loma at 19 years old, fought a 28 year old version of himself or even the age he was at before he entered the pro's? 28 year old Loma would destroy 19 year old Loma. Floyd and Loma's careers took a completely different path, it is pointless to compare the pro careers of both fighters because of the path each took.

Take it up with the thread starter :deal:

Lomachenko is clearly leagues better than Floyd ever was at their comparitive points in their careers, and he may even be better prime-for-prime. He just made Rigo, a guy that nobody wanted to fight and who was up in the p4p ratings, look like a noob.

That said, I agree with the guy that said 11 fights is a short resume to be comparing to Floyd's. Let's see where he's at with double the amount of fights under his belt. Could be that Loma has some awful weakness that we simply don't know about yet. I think that's fair.

His amateur record means jack once he steps into the ring as a professional.

That said, have you even seen his second fight?. He was fighting a Super Featherweight even though he was a Featherweight. Better yet, the cheating scumbag(Salido) had everything in his favor. He had the location, referee and judges all on his side. With all of that in the cheating scumbag's favor, he still almost got KO'd in the last round. That fight was a complete disgrace and only idiots would bring that up as an accomplishment for Salido.

That’s riducolus to suggest Conner didn’t play his part in bringing a huge amount of money into that fight. Sure Floyd gave him the platform but Conner played his part perfectly to hype this fight for the giant payday it became.
