Lopez would be outboxed, chase shadows and get frustrated and drop a decision.

 

Lomachenko has faced big punchers and the best fighters in the world in the pros, amateurs and WSB for many many years- and beat them all!

Lopez maybe in his late 20's would make for a very interesting matchup but Lomachenko has the experience and tools to his advantage.

 

Loma's T-Rex arms is actually working into his strength rather than his weakness. I once learned that a pugilist with shorter reach actually has shorter distance for his punch to recover which means in close range he can throw more punches and quicker than people with longer reach. If you watch Loma's match since his days in amateur, Loma has been very comfortable and dominating in many cases of his close-range exchange. This is not a coincidence.

While I agree that Loma needs to get close to Lopez, I disagree that it'll be Loma's disadavantage. Like it has been shown in his last four lightweight fights, Loma has been showing his infighter side and has been confident fighting in that style. And I think everybody already knows how crazy and unpredictable his movement is. Lopez won't stand a chance if he loses his calmness .

 

There's levels to boxing man. I like Teo, but I don't want Loma to ruin his career. I really hope this fight doesn't get made next, it's too early.
