“Loma got them T-Rex arms doe!!! Rigo will break that boy jaw!!”

    Same **** different fight. Lol

Loma gets him out of there or makes him quit before the 7th.

Err.. Teo has youth, height, reach and weight. Everything else (like footwork, IQ, skills) favors Loma.

Lopez has fast explosive hands in close and Loma's style isn't designed to beat guys from range so that makes the fight interesting. But i doubt he would end up losing to Lopez.

It could potentially look like Frampton beating McQueery but with a higher skill level on display.

He has some of the same advantages Luke Campbell had over Loma, but aside from power the rest are probably no better - but Loma has the same advantages over Lopez as he did over Campbell, and every other human he's faced so far.

With someone like Lopez's power then you can never say never, but Lopez should consider being able to share a ring with Loma and maybe sneak a couple of rounds as a huge achievement at this stage.

I can't stand Lopez either but I was highly impressed with his KO of Commey and I think he is a genuine threat to Loma. In saying that I still favour Loma and I hope he humiliates Lopez. The way Lopez shortened the gap so quickly and sparked Commey was crazy and I just hope Loma hasn't slowed down just enough for Lopez to catch him with something explosive because I would hate to see a narcissistic jerk like Lopez be the one to dethrone Loma who is one of my favourite fighters.

I really don't think we're seeing Loma "slow down" at all. It's coming in another few years, but at 31 he's so far held it off.

He's fought 3 tall and long lightweights with excellent skills and athleticism. I'm not saying that Linares, Pedraza and Cambell would beat Teofimo (Cambell I think outpoints him) but they were actually tougher matchups for an undersized lightweight in Loma. They (Pedraza and Cambell especially) stayed up on their toes and made Loma lead while staying behind their length/height. Lopez can't do that.

They are all taller, longer, more skilled and equally athletic to Lopez. Lopez's only better quality is his stunning power. I was also a bit surprised seeing Loma and Lopez stand together in the ring because I didn't see a big size difference that I expected compared to Loma's previous opponents.

Lopez is just a better matchup for Loma than his previous opponents and it's going to show.

He is. But will Lopez be the one to expose it it? I don't think so. Loma will do an 'Old Bones' here.

My gut tells me Lopez has a real chance here. A big puncher with his kind of speed and talent is always dangerous.
Loma is already past his best something tells me. His last 2-3 fights were against opposition that is not elite, so it wasn't visible for people. He is also boxing at his ceiling weight, if not above. He can do it because he's a special talent, but he's not as effective as at his natural weight.

At the same time, my gut also tells me that Loma is tougher than we know, both mentally and physically, and he will show that in the Lopez fight. He will have to. He's certainly mentally tougher and more experienced than Lopez. This will probably end in a very hard-fought points victory for Loma where he overcomes some shaky moments.

And with a win over Lopez, Loma should be HOF, first ballot
