GGG Canelo Crawford Loma Kovalev Rigondeaux Inoue Thurman Usyk Rungvisai My top 10. I'll revise after tonight.. My criteria is skill level/eye test & resume in equal measure. Honourable mentions: the superior Joshua, Spence, LSC...
Im not Eastern European. Neither Crawford or Ward will ever really have the appeal to casuals because of their style. We know they are quality operators, but they can be dull as hell to watch. If they were say, from South Africa or Namibia they would have been dumped in the "who needs that guy" pile long ago. Fact they are American makes a huge difference as they get put to the top of the list and get free passes from the public
Who gives a ****. That's what matters along with resume. Being the first since B Hop to clean out a division is more impressive than flash for 'casuals'.
There is no clear number 1. Why bother who says who on top. Crawford GGG Loma, all 3 have equal claim.
This. Being completely generous Jacobs won 2-3 rounds tops, since he was a complete sucker for GGG's jab.
Funny, considering many would place Loma at #1 for beating Rigo, a guy that had to move up damn near 2 divisions to get a big fight! Yet, here you are critisizing crawford for beating "midget" and Postol. SMH. Don't get me wrong, I regard Loma as a very good fighter. At this stage, he is hitting on all cylinders and a finely tuned fighting machine. Crawford is a great talent as well.
Crawford is number 1 and still will be whatever the outcome may be tonight. Some people saying this like "only there because he unified a division", ridiculous thing to say, as though that's not a big deal in boxings current format and the way it is run.... Not to mention the fact that he actually did it with ease too.
