The holding was actually a very experienced tactical strategy that Loma implemented. Of course that is not a pleasing or exciting skill, but it's effective when used the right way against the right style. It breaks up the rhytm of your opponent, it allows the fighter to reset or offset his opponents offense and it gives the boxers time to rest. Again....not fun, but can be effective in winning or putting a stop to your opponents momentum. Loma had the right idea but was excessive with the holding. He was in deep water and holding on to "hold on".

Translation: I fight for 3 rounds out of a 12 round bout, i just hold the rest of the time.

Thats the problem. Most of the holding was initiated by Salido. Watch it again. In Fact,if Coles had done his job in rds 11 & 12 and stopped SALIDO from holding on for dear life, Loma stops him. :deal

A lot of you clowns are so blinded by ignorance it is quite sad really.

If Coles had stopped clinches in just rounds 11 and 12, that would have been biased.

Had he stopped holding from round 1, the whole fight is different.

    So it's a moot point...

Again, you are blind. Look back at the fight and Loma is continually shoving Saldio off from holding.

Salido was in bad shape the last 2 rounds and Coles let him hold on tightly.

    :deal:deal:deal

Lomachenko was the better boxer in every aspect. Against all the odds he almost managed to KO Salido.

Salido being two weight classes over the limit.
Salido throwing combinations under the belt.
******ed judge who sees combination thrown under the belt with his two eyes wide open and wouldn't do sh*t bout it.
Lomachenko short on experience and still outlanding Salido big time.
Lomachenko rocking hard Salido in final rounds who is allowed to hold Lomachenko's both hands for as much as he wants to - half the time in rounds 11 and 12.
Lomachenko was in the hometown of the underdog.

Given all these I can't see how Lomachenko truly lost. F that, Salido was limited as heck and he had to use all possible tricks to get an SD in his hometown.

    Loma is the future.:deal

Do you think Cole would not have taken a point off of Lomachenko for low blows?

Loma started with the excessive holding and pushing down and then later in the fight Salido responded with blows to the balls or hips. Only reason Loma was able to bust up Siri on the inside late in the fight was because Salido was slowing down by the 11th.

Hey sometimes you have to or be a victim so that's his problem if he thinks he's making like a moral stand or something. It's his career. But if you're doing it BACK then it's fair and often necessary as far as I'm concerned.
