How mentally weak are you then if you let forum posters dictate your proclivities? I don't think Lomacheno actually has an equal to be fair in regards to what he has done in under ten fights its not a slight on Floyd as its silly to compare the unprecedented **** he is doing with anyone really. That was a great feat by Floyd but it was his 18th fight and Hernandez never fought again I believe...

Maybe not but tell me how many Amateur accolades Floyd Joy has?

How many World and Olympic Golds does he own?

How many fights did it take until Canelo reached world level opposition again?

Different fighters have different trajectories. Loma served a long apprenticeship in the amateurs and fought a half dozen times without head gear and going five rounds in the WSB. So he was already ready to step up when he turned pro. Even then, he seemed concerned about pacing himself over 12 against Salido, so it hasn't been a completely seamless transition.

Loma's pretty ace right now, though. Think I'd favor him over anyone else at the weight.

Hernandez was way more accomplished and quite a bit better than Martinez, to be fair. And, that's not a dig against Loma. Again, different trajectories.

I never said he wasn't. But Loma hasn't just fought Martinez has he? GRJ, Walters, Salido, Ramirez...

8 fights man! Unprecedented! Factor in though that Hernandez was at the end of his career, Oscar had whooped him previously. Lomas fighting undefeated fighters..

Yeah, but only two years, when he was 21. Loma was a lot more ready to start taking high quality scalps at the start of his career than FMJ was...and I still think Loma's run through 8 is pretty damned insane.

Before turning pro Loma was busy winning 2 Olympic golds and 2 World Championships.

How many Olympic golds do Pretty Boy have?

I would appreciate if you knew what you were talking about before criticizing. Thank you.

Can't hate on Floyd. Personally yes but as a pro boxer he was exceptional.

That Hernandez (which was coming off wins over a faded but dangerous Nelson, and future title-holders in Famaso and Alexandrov) still probably whips Martinez, though. Chicanito was one of my favorite fighters, so I might be a little biased...but still, the dude's a little underrated historically, I think.

Loma's run through 8 is pretty ridiculous, though. Can't think of too many people who even come close to that level of comp during the first ten fights of their career. I guess Muangsaurin, Sahaprom, and Inoue would come closest in the modern era, and you might have look at guys like LaBarba in other eras to come up with anything at all similar.
