Well Tbh I think what Loma has done is special but some delusional fans are claiming that all time great, super talented fighters like Manny and Floyd couldn't have done better and that's absurd.

If they were given the same circumstances they probably would have and at 27 they were in a different class to Salido let alone Loma, they would have pasted Loma's face all over the canvas not just beat him up

It's good to see, but I don't think it's always as simple as that. Lomachenko has, no doubt, moved up more quickly than most. But if he were 20, he obviously wouldn't have.

He's had an extensive amateur career and he's old enough to make the step immediately.

I think it was directed for certain fighters already in their 30s who have yet to step up in class because the money or weight in never PERFECT.

Little Vasyl started his career at a later age than Mayweather, but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that little Vasyl is a 2 weight WORLD champion with only 8 fights

No doubt about that by age 28 May and Pac was more accomplished pros, I was just stating that since Loma was a amateur longer and turned pro later age was irrelevant.

Even though May and Pac was more accomplished by age 28, Loma was still a world champ in his third pro fight and that something that May and Pac was not by the same number of fights.

I never said that, they all have done amazing things. It's way too early to compare Loma to May and Pac but it's no denying that what he have done so far is amazing.

True. I think we're just agreeing with each other basically.

It just sounded as if you were saying that his amateur accomplishments somehow contribute to his professional career - comparing number of Olympic medals won is not a means of measuring these guys' careers

How about you learn to think for yourself, instead of letting other people make up your mind for you. Are you really that weak mentally? You've pretty much admitted you are.

Pacquiao was more accomplished than Loma at 25 fights in. By that time he was lineal flyweight champ. Had moved up in weight and sparked Sasakul.

And by the way he was 19 years old. Not at his absolute prime like Loma is right now. Lomachenko is 28 years old. He's supposed to be fighting at his best right now.

If he had a bigger sack he woldnt have gone to 2 olympics. Dude didn't think he was ready the pros until after 2012. LMFAO.

Pac was pro at 16 and starving.

I like to use a middle ground here. Lomachenko was older when he turned pro, but he was the master of a completely different construct, a construct where you point score differently, you have a different pacing strategy over a different number of rounds, different rules, you use attack very differently because it's faster. It's a construct that many who turn out to be awful pros, are masters at. It's a different branch.

Thus, Loma has had to adapt everything he could and is still in the deep end, but Mayweather had many more years of experience in the pros to develop his craft and work on making many pro quirks a part of his nature and developing his game further. Mayweather at 18 proved his skill level at the Olympics, showing he can hang with and even beat the Greats that Lomachenko hung with. Mayweather spent all that time thereafter just concentrating solely on the pros and spending that time specialising in the pro ranks.

All of these rising stars have a gruelling experience or gruelling fight, Lomachenko got his in his second pro fight in a world title bout. Yes, Lomachenko had more time to become a complete fighter, but he didn't become a complete fighter necessarily for the pro ranks, nor did he focus on specialising himself over the course of years in the pro game specifically, a construct where many amateur fighters get eaten alive.

Therefore, what Lomachenko has achieved has been nothing short of outstanding.

Loma was pro (paid to fight) in WSB. So he's actually up to 14 fights. He lost to Salido in his 8th pro fight. Who gives a hoot anyway. He's still not Pacquiao or Mayweather in my eyes, yet. Still has a ways to go to even be considered that level.
