Overrated? No. How can someone be overrated when the only have 13 Pro fights, with: Gary Russell Jr - after the Salido loss, he was slated to beat Lomachenko - He got humiliated Walters - He was meant to have HUGE power that was to make Lomachenko underperform, or at least cause him troubles. In the end, Walters quit because he had zero answers Sosa - Stopped Rigo - Was slated to beat Lomachenko because he was the 'best technical fighter alive' - Like GRJ he was humiliated Linares - A tough dude that was quite a bit bigger than Lomachenko - still won convincingly Pedraza - Comeback from shoulder surgery & still put on a clinic. How many rounds did you have him losing? So I ask the question, why exactly do people think Lomachenko is overrated exactly? He has a short professional resume where he has beat World Champions, some of them in amazing fashion. The Linares fight proved that he had the ability to adapt when it wasn't going his way. Underrated? No. I think he gets the credit he deserves. He has an excellent pedigree of fights under his belt, of which he performed at the elite level, hence the comments about being a future ATG/HOF'er.
Thing is you cant really teach what hes got, its god given. Fellas trying to copy him would come unstuck, its natural for him to fight like that !
A lot of his footwork is down to his dad advising him to take two years out of boxing as a youth to learn Ukranian dancing to improve his balance, Ali learned ballet so he could move all fight without his legs getting tired Holyfield also learned ballet to improve his footwork.
Okay, I will take the bait. Lomo is a little biatch that can't fight. Most overrated fighter in history unless he beats King Kong in the first round by spectacular knock out with one arm tied behind his back! Complete bum! Happy now frustrated haters?
We need to drop this idea of Floyd being unstoppable at 130. He only beat Corrales and Hernandez. Not great fighters. Hell Duran has a better win at 130 than Mayweather did.
Do me a favour, please. Garcia would beat him, nevermind the all time greats. I still love watching him though.
Ali had the same style since he was a kid, never heard he took ballet lessons tbh, Holyfield did, but you look at Holy and Loma, the weight isn't the only difference, ones got average to good, the others on his own in Loma. Ballet lessons would've helped Loma, but his footwork is his natural style imo
