It's a great accomplishment that should be commended but irrelevant when discussing the pro career. I'm a fan of pro boxing more so than the amateur game. I couldn't really careless what a guy does as an amateur when compared to what he does as a pro. You have great pro fighters that were average or never fought as an amateur and that's what counts more to me.
Teofilo was a great amateur and that's all that can be said. He is not an ATG and is not listed anywhere or talked about as being an ATG. Amatuer career is a good thing to have but quite frankly, you never have to fight amateur to start a pro career. When it comes to actual boxing and amassing a record for the books. Pro is all that counts. That's a fact. Even though Stallone was just a movie it dealt with pro boxing, Lederman deals with pro boxing. It all about pros when you get through talking.
It's not a fact. This is you citing a very subjective personal preference. Boxing has two branches, amateurs and pros. Fact. They are different constructs but both are 'boxing'. Fact. Amateur boxers are boxers. Fact. ATG pro boxers are ATG boxers. Fact. ATG amateur boxers are ATG boxers. Fact. You can be an awful amateur and be an ATG pro. Fact. You can be a great amateur and be an awful pro. Fact. Double standards. Amassing a pro record is for the PRO books. There are amateur history books as well. When we say Teofilo is an ATG boxer, we are saying he is an ATG boxer (who is an amateur, and amateur boxing IS boxing). Pro history books is boxing history books. Amateur history books is boxing history books.
Not fair comparison as Loma is a hungry fighter and Floyd is a thirsty fighter. A rejuvenated IV Mayweather would put Loma in a Coma.
The AMs don't mean **** here **** boy once you're in the pros. With the headgear off the AM's only tell your pedigree, not certainty clown.:nut
Yes, it means nothing to you because you're a pro boxing fan, but it means a lot to people who understand amateurs. Besides, there are no headgears in amateurs anymore but you obviously didn't know that. I'm right and you're wrong. Honestly, like always. I don't simply comment, I TELL. You read and meditate on it.
You are steadily trying to the connect the two in an attempt to justify your statement that an amateur record is relevant at a professional level and should be recognized on a professionals win loss record. That's not gonna happen because it's a totally different venue. You can say that Teofilo is an ATG amateur but it don't carry no weight in the pros. You can have all the amateur history books you want but it's what a fighter does in the pros that is what counts. The pros is where you build your legacy. Yeah, it's all boxing but it's not pro boxing and that's why you can't lump the two together.
Loma lost in the pros in his 2nd fight after winning how many in the amateurs? I acknowledge Loma is special and likely the best technician right now considering Floyd is old and Rigo is just too inactive. But, Loma KOing Martinez doesn't make Loma an ATG.
Loma was in the ring with light hitting and predictable Martinez. With that said, most fighters are aggressive with him because he is an easy target. As much as I like Loma I seriously doubt he would be that aggressive with a fighter who's skills and power demanded respect.
I'm certainly not making the claim that amateur record is relevant at professional level, rather I'm saying the opposite and showing why amateur boxing is...boxing. ATG amateurs are ATG boxers. I just simply combined win-losses to create a formal 'boxing record' just for recreational purposes. Mayweather being 84-8 does mean he has 8 losses in boxing (Not the professional branch, but in boxing, he has 8 losses). The amateurs is where you build your boxing legacy in its own right. The pros is where you build your pro legacy. Try telling Julio Cesar La Cruz he's not a Great, and amateur boxing has no ATGs. It's complete double standards. One is not more legitimate than the other. The pros receiving more attention does not legitimise it and downgrade amateurs, too.
Lomachenko is a much better boxer than Void, he not only has speed, defense, but has much more power and this is just the inception!!!
I thought Gannicus is was a decent poster, but his lomachenko ball sucking is worse than the golov****s/pac****s/*****s all combined.
Anyone in his feeble mind who has a better stat than Floyd he **** rides. He won't strictly **** ride white boxers on my watch. Lol... Imma make him appreciate everyone or continue to take a **** on him like I always do.
