Firstly, Loma was clearly robbed by the way bigger “heavyweight” Haney. 7-5 at best to Loma. Most agree he was robbed.

Secondly, whilst not many don’t agree, one armed far undersized Loma should not have a loss against huge younger weight bully Lopez.

Most agree Lomachenko won rounds 7 (debatable), 8, 9, 10 and 11 four rounds. But he also won rounds 2 and 6 which many had to Lopez. I’ve previously timestamped punches landed in these rounds and Loma clearly outlands Lopez with the cleaner more purposeful shots whereas Lopez is following Loma around hitting air and occasionally arms. Timothy Bradley’s commentary no doubt swayed viewers with ooing and ahing at every shot Lopez threw. There is also a reason Ward and Crawford had Loma winning these rounds and having it a draw.

Many of these initial rounds were given to Lopez for simply following Loma around. He wasn’t actually landing punches. Lopez really struggled to land any head punches in those rounds he just resorted to basic ***** swinging for the midsection.

Salido should have outright been disqualified.

How can Crawford - a guy who beat a deathly drained past and inactive Spence, and a part time commentator who was actually beating him - be ranked higher than a guy who dominates as the smaller guy beating a far bigger younger guy, and generally bigger opponents .

    Lomachenko still p4p no. 1

Your claim that most agree that Lomachenko was robbed against Haney is a stretch.

On Eye on the Ring, a large percentage of scorecards either have Haney winning or it being a 114-114 draw.

I don't think conflating close fights with outright robberies and corruption is helpful.

Guys, just move on, this is just sad. He didn't get the benefit of the doubt in 2 fights he could have won, and dropped the ball against Lopez. It was unfortunate, but it's time to move on. He was a great talent at his best, but those days are over now, he is clearly not as good as he used to be. And what has he done recently to warrant a number 1 spot ? Nakatani, Ortiz and Commey are the farthest thing away from a murderer's row of opponents. The only single argument he has is a win over Haney that he doesn't have (that some had a draw), and that says it all, really.

Usyk had just as much of an age and size disadvantage against AJ as Loma had with Haney and Lopez. Yet he beat him twice.

Inoue is about to be undisputed at 122 by beating Tapales, and has already destroyed Fulton and Donaire.

Estrada has wins over Gonzalez, Rungvisai and Cuadras.

Loma is not the P4P number 1 anymore, he had his time, but that's over now.

Nah, I wouldn't say that. The rightful score should be 114-114. Loma won rounds 2, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11, you could arguably throw in the 4th or 7th, and Loma takes it 115-113. In most of those early rounds, Lopez was hitting gloves.

I love Loma but it's a stretch to say Lopez didn't beat him. He did get ****ed over in the other two losses though, no doubt about that.

Atleast Lopez was throwing Lomachenko did nothing in first 6 rounds no way he won 6 rounds.

You don't win fights averaging 13 punches thrown a round for half the fight.

Are you scoring the fight with hindsight? I don't think you had Loma winning in real time. I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong. LOL

It doesn’t matter though - scoring can change on a second more reasoned watching

I think we can all agree that Lomachenko won rounds 8, 9, 10, 11. That’s four rounds - let’s start here.

Rounds 2 and 6 - punches have been timestamped before. Lomachenko outlands Lopez with the cleaner shots in both those rounds. Cleaner shots that are purposeful and landed with more frequency.

if you want to go timestamp and tell me otherwise, please go ahead. Otherwise you’re just talking out of your arse because you’ve watched it once and refuse to acknowledge anyone but your own opinions because you know everyone alway thinks they’re right without the full facts. None of you have done that so come back with a proper response before squealing please

    If you have Loma Lopez winning rounds 2, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 that is 6 rounds. A draw .

I also had Loma winning the 7th = Loma winning the fight.

Pretending the fight was clean or easy for Lopez just proves you haven’t watched the fight closely enough. And it certainly wasn’t easy with Lopez having his head pinged around the place in round 11.

Also, people talk about Lomas inactivity in the first 6 rounds (despite winning 2 rounds)what was Lopez doing?!. couldn’t cut the ring off and land punches on a leprechaun an arm injury. He landed barely ANY head shots in those rounds. You know what I think he may have literally landed sub 3 headshots.d He was purely focused on his physicality by throwing punches to Lomas body - most of which missed and hit arms and elbows. The fact he was doing this tells me he is not a great boxer

Agreed, but why get upset if when viewing in real time you call it one way, but after slow motion review, call it the other way and cry robbery. As I said before, I do not recall any 10-2 scores in favor of Loma over Lopez.

Because no one cares apart from you and you keep repeating same stuff over and over like a broken record.

It's not rocket science most people had Lomachenko losing because he he fought like he was in a sparring session for half the fight and didn't wake up until it was too late. And when he could've put the fight in doubt he lost a big 12th round and clearly lost get over it as I said.
