He won two major titles and never looked like he didn't belong but he should drop down and fight smaller men because he lost a fight? How brave

Floyd never campaigned at 154. He went up to win a title there and never actually even weighed in at the limit. Loma going down a weight class after unifying two titles and then losing would be entirely different

It's up to Loma. If he can make the weight without draining himself then it's his choice. I know what I saw last night. I saw Loma afraid to engage Lopez because he's bigger, stronger and punches harder. He was afraid of getting hit because he didn't trust his chin and toughness.

So encounter adversity and respond by moving down for easier fights. Doesn't sound like something a great fighter would do. His chin looked pretty good to me considering he was in with the hardest puncher in the division

Floyd actually fought 4 fights at JR middleweight and won multiple titles but again Floyd did not belong there and so he would cherry pick a fight and then duck back down a weight carefully choosing the fights because he knew he was at a disadvantage against naturally larger men. the difference is Loma didn't do that he moved up and stayed in the division and fought the other champs despite the disadvantages.

my point still stands if anything you proved my point... Floyd wouldn't stay and defend the titles because he knew he may lose to a guy so much physically stronger then him so he would drop back down. same reason he never fancied the Margarito fight, A bigger volume puncher with some pop who he would have trouble keeping off of him kind of like Maidana but bigger.

RJJ did the same thing at heavy just because you have success above your division does not make you lesser if you go back to fighting people your own size.

I think Roy Jones demolishing everyone from 154 to 175 along the way makes it quite a bit different than lomas journey of a 9 pound climb when he fought at 132 in the Olympics and he topped out at 135 in the pros

4 fights, all victories and he weighed in under the limit every single time. It's not the same thing

Pbf went to 154 and each time fought the best fighter at that weight oscar cotto then canelo. 147 is much more glamorous prestigious division with money fights than 154 was so that had alot to do with it. Not to mention usually had bigger name fighters as well at 147 than 154. 135 is just like 147 historic prestigious division when compared to 130. Loma should be fighting there better fighters with more legacy fights than at 130 right now.

Or Mayweather could have gone up to 160 instead of dropping back down to 147. Cuz Middleweight is a very prestigious division and there were guys like Pirog and Pavlik up there for him to challenge himself with LMAO....

Lmao you are praying that Loma stays at lightweight whilst undersized, that's the only hope of him losing.

Who beats Lomachenko at Super featherweight or Featherweight? Nobody! And you know that.

Mayweather was scared to death of moving up to middleweight to face prime Golovkin.

No ****. If a lightweight in JLC can pressure you and bother you than a much bigger man like Golovkin would stop you. I don't really hold it against Mayweather for not going to 160 and fighting the top guys there. It's just too much size difference. He knew exactly how far he could go.

Funny before this loss no one was complaining. He was the ring champ at 135 and beat every fighter he faced at 135 and had multiple belts there. LOL!!!! Stop with the excuses give Lopez his due hope loma can come back stronger and move on.
