Loma: nothing to gain against Pac

Should he fight Pac?

  1. Yes, good win to have on your resume

  2. No, aim for a unification or move up.

A b level fighter at 147 is better than B level at a lower weight giving that they can make a low weight without being drained. I'd pick Manny against several title holders at 130-140 right now. It's a good name. Loma is too worried about giving his critics fuel to use against him.

Raise his profile and a good payday that's about it.

Loma would need to fight PAC at 147 for anybody to even take the fight seriously. At 147 PAC will at least make it a fight, but he's still too shot to win at this point. Anything less than 147 will be a drained PAC that will quit on his stool after 3-4 rounds, since he's too old to be moving down divisions.

Loma's best bet is to unify in his own division or move up and fight Easter, who he has the talent to beat. Since PAC's name and drawing power isn't strong anymore.

Fair enough, I didn’t mean who called who out. I meant more the younger man on the ascendancy taking on an older legend on the twilight of his career.

The problem with that is if Loma fights pac at 147, Garcia could say fight me at 140 and Crawford could say fight me at 147. You can’t go jump up those types of weights when in the past you have said people are those weights are too heavy for you.

Call me crazy but yes.. Main reason being the sudden change in weight for Loma..

That's the problem with the difference in sizes after rehydrating. Crawford at 147 is much bigger and heavier as Pac at 147.
Like Floyd wanted small Cotto comfortably at full 154, but didn't want the bigger guys at full 154.

I wouldn’t say it’s crazy, a few people think Pac can win. I think it’s hard for an inactive, old fighter to beat the younger active man when both have excellent skills. At 140 it’s closer but i still would edge to Lomachenko

Pac made a living doing that, what's good enough for the Goose is good enough for the Gander......

Totally on the Lomachenko train. I was a little disappointed when I heard he might be fighting Pac. There are better fights to be made against more deserving opponents who are not far removed from their prime. He has good awareness, his next fight will be a great one, if a good enough opponent accepts a fight.

People will say Loma beat an old, faded Pac... but people will also acknowledge that an old, faded Pac is still BY FAR the best scalp on his resume... and if Loma makes Pac quit? YUUUUUUUUUGE victory.

Floyd, Pac, Canelo, Cotto, they all majr catch weight fights when it’s convenient and serves an advantage for them

I guess you would have to argue that would be the best name on his resume tbh. I don’t see stopping pac though, but if he that would be a serious feat.
