Loma: nothing to gain against Pac

Should he fight Pac?

  1. Yes, good win to have on your resume

  2. No, aim for a unification or move up.

I know Arum has got to be working hard on this with Papa Loma to agree cause Im sure Lomachenko wants it bad.

Would be just like when Pac slaughtered old Oscar.

Gets his name straight into the headlights but hardcore fans will give him zero credit.

I personally would prefer him to unify his division but I'm not against this fight.

That would be the one to make imo. I really don't think Garcia wants it though. At least not right now, which is a shame.

I agree, which is why I think he should avoid the PAC fight. Beating PAC at 140 or 135 does nothing for Loma's career and that would be back to back old opponents that were inactive that he forced to move up or move down. PAC hasn't fought at 140 in almost 10 years. PAC's stamina and timing looked awful against Horn. PAC having to cut 7 or more pounds will result in PAC quitting early and getting his money.

Loma would be a huge favorite against PAC if the fight is at 135 or 140 and I doubt it would even sell well, since PAC is coming off a loss and will be 40 this year.

Fighters fight for money first, beating Pacquiao would make him an overnight sensation and all roads will lead to him, in fact it would give him a good chance to become the face of boxing.

    Dude's his own harshest critic.

He willingly devalues wins before they happen, and after. In his mind, he hasn't accomplished anything noteworthy as a pro yet. It disgusts him when the challenges other people hype up are outclassed so easily.

That should terrify the rest of the fighters around his weight class. Good as he is, he's still improving and refuses to become complacent.

I think Garcia will take it if It’s the biggest money fight for him by whilst guys like lipinets is getting him 2.5-3.5 mil I would take that too, wouldn’t you?

Nah not sure he would be an overnight sensation, but it would boost his popularity. I don’t the face has ever been a fighter under 147.

I partially agree with you, I like that Loma is active, seeks on taking tough challenges and has a lot self belief. However I don’t think he is turning down this pac fight because he is scared of what people will say otherwise why would he take an old inactive Rigo if he was scared of what people would say?

That's a hefty name to have as a scalp.

Not a good fight for Pac, even given a weight advantage. He's way past his sell-by date, and even though he can still fight a bit, Loma is a phenom.

Loma should win this if he carries on with the form he showed against Rigo, and that would be a fantastic win for a guy's 12th fight.

It's possible, I mean Pac is an ATG and even the old dogs can still have a few bites left. Just look at Duran. But I have to be honest, Pacman isn't what he used to be and Loma is just ridiculously fast. I don't give Pac a very big chance to win.
