There was a suggestion that Loma should move up to face Crawford to be the p4p king. But their career trajectory seems to be always 2 weight apart. Crawford is due to a welterweight move while Loma will eventually invade lightweight if an opponent can't be finalise at 130. Which do you think it's a better win: Loma over Linares or Garcia at 135 or, Crawford over Thurman or Spence at 147. Who do you think have a harder task ahead?
Brook might be the better name, but I think the GGG's fight damage him a bit. It's a good win nonetheless. Most people would rate Garcia a better p4p player than Spence though.
At the moment, I don't have Spence in my top ten, Brook was winning that fight before the injury flared up. Brook is still a better name on anything on Garcia's resume though, without a doubt.
Garcia beat Lomachenko's cherry popper , Orlando Salido, doe. Doesn't that count through these ridiculous degrees of separation?
Linares is on his way out and Loma would tool him. Loma-Garcia is a 50/50 fight IMO but Loma would probably be favored. Thurman is a 50/50 for Crawford and I think he will lose to Spence. Crawford would be the underdog in both of these fights. Crawford beating Thurman and Spence would be better.
Loma would make easy work of Mikey and Linares, Crawford will most likely get ktfo vs Thurman and Spence.
Those are probable scenarios. Now, is this because you think highly of Loma's pedigree or because you think Garcia/ Linares are lesser than Thurman/Spence?
Hard to tell whether Linares is all that good. He's faced fairly lackluster opposition since losing to DeMarco and that other guy. He's beaten no studs, just bums scrubs and British domestic level guys. Thurman and Spence are the better pair.
